I would REALLY like to see fighters that have rubber guard also have an option for the full guard transition. The full guard transition in this game is an absolutely crucial part of high level play. Whilst rubber guard is good, having the standard full guard transition is better. I despise the fact that my ultimate team fighter has rubber guard and to get rid of it I have to remove my BJJ transitions card and lose stats.

Any chance of removing one of the arm drag back takes, replacing that with rubber guard (making it an L1 transition) and having the full guard transition standard?

I used to think that's what ground defense was too, turns out it's not. Top game and off the back directly reflect each other. Ground defense dictates your blocking on the ground, effectiveness of catching a strike and bridging transitions.

I didn't read the whole thread but yeah Rubber Guard is too easy to get into currently. I think a good way to tune it would be to slightly increase the transition time and also increase the denial window.

Btw I've been using Rubber Guard like it's going out of style in the game along with Flying Armbars from Thai Clinch for the 2 Gate submission. Both are pretty OP or slightly OP at the moment.

Yup would be nice if this were being tweaked a bit in the next gameplay patch

(a bit harder to get someone into rubber guard; but a bit easier to KEEP them there, is what everyone is looking for, I think??)

had someone keep trying to put me into the 'rubber guard loop' this past weekend --- put me into rubber guard; spam denials hoping to deny me; throw an elbow; spam denials; i get out; rinse and repeat

No real damage done to me, but annoying to say the least lol

FIX THE RUBBER GUARD ASAP!!!

This is honestly ruining the Lightweight Division for me in ranked matches. Every fighter is now Nate Diaz and the first thing anyone does is try to clinch then straight to rubber guard or once you are on the ground is rubber guard over and over. Even if you deny them ppl just always try to go back to it since it's so easy to get and once your in it the reversal to full mount is so easy to achieve. The rubber guard has lost all skill and strategy when to use it.
