PES 2019 Full Game Impressions

So, I don't know if this was in last year's game, but if you go to support settings a turn on "switch preset tactics" you can switch formations, advanced instructions, and attacting/defensive instructions on the fly. They give you three tactic profiles to set.

Not sure if you can make the CPU follow anything like that, but on the user side it's pretty awesome.

I like the game so far however I would like to see the following in next year's game.

- More stat overlays before a match starts, during a match etc.. standings, top scorers in your master league for example.
- You have to go through 3 to 4 menus to see rankings and stats in your master league. Make it easier and more accessible by having these available in the main menu of your master league season.

Looks like they are doing some gameplay editing of the PC version over on evo-web. Anybody try those out?

Yes. Working great for me. Inca has made several versions to help with keepers and more. The version I am using did make AI takes more shots outside the box and did cut down the low cross slightly. Still some niggles, but this is best gameplay I have experienced since the PS2 days easily.

Sadly, think I'm done with this for now.

If they patch the AI, I'll probably give it another go but at the moment I kinda wish that I hadn't bought the digital version 'cause I'd probably trade it in.

Too many legacy issues with gameplay, the AI isn't nearly good enough for 2018 (which becomes even more apparent when you play the new FIFA), and everything non gameplay related is inexcusably bad.

Shame 'cause I absolutely love the feel of how PES plays.

Could not of said it better, I am in same boat with digital. Oh well, hope it gets fixed and tweaked. Got Fifa to play at least, actually having fun.

Konami is an infuriating company.

PES looks and feels so much better than FIFA, it's not even close, but their issues with patches and seemingly an appalling lack of support have me wondering if I'll even play either offering this year.
