Sounds like a winner to me, can't wait to see this. Hell, I might even go to the theatre.

Re: Star Trek: The Movie

I want to go to the midnight showing. I am wondering if it's going to be packed like the Dark Knight movie.

I don't know about this one. It's important as to what kind of character Uhura will play out to be. From what I've seen of the trailers I don't think I'm going to particular like where her character is going. I'm going to get the scoop on that before I drop a dollar on a ticket for this one.

You're gonna balk at this movie based on how they re-jig a character whose backstory in previous ST material has been razor thin? Talk about looking for an excuse not to like the moive!

Well damnit I hope they make Scotty say "dey ship canna handle it suh"

I'm definitely going at midnight, I've been looking forward to this movie since last year.

Re: Star Trek: The Movie

This is my most anticipated of the early summer blockbusters. I thought the series was pretty much dead, but once I found out JJ Abrams was directing it piqued my interest. And it's continued to grow as I've found out more - his approach for rebooting the series was definitely clever. Now I'm trying not to read too much about it before seeing it Friday or Saturday. I saw the brief movie clip they show on quicktime and I thought the chemistry w/the new crew killed - I totally brought into Chris Pine, and what I've seen/read they've really nailed the casting of the crew. That it's killing on Rottentomatoes is making me more hyped to see it

Re: Star Trek: The Movie

Definitely seeing this on the digital projector in my area. Not much draws me to the theaters these days, but this will fo' sho.

I'm loving all these franchise reboots. James Bond, Star Trek....what's next?
