I'll be seeing this Tuesday come hell or high water. Hopefully DocHolliday's opinion isn't the prevailing mindset by the time I see it.

Saw it this afternoon at an employee showing of it... awesome. Even though Transformers 2 and Terminator will be cool and really entertaining, I do not think that either of those will be a better movie overall than Star Trek. The special effects left me in awe a few times, the music was great (or moments were it goes completely silent to emphasize the events... eery), and the casting was perfect. The young Spock (Sylar) plays it like a young Leonard Nimoy... James T Kirk really convinces you that he's he man, etc. I already want to see it again.

Bought presale tickets this past Monday to see it tonight @ 10 PM. Can't wait!

Well I'm happy to say that I wasn't disappointed at all and I can't wait to see it again. The only bad thing is that it's probably gonna be 2 years before we see a sequel. It's going to look beautiful on Blu-Ray.

Very excited for this. Haven't ever watched more than 5 minutes of Star Trek in my life, so this will be completely new to me.
