I better never find that spin the bottle app on my daughter's phone. Here's a pretty good article about the show.

Riding the NYC subway every day and I think many people share this sentiment.

Re: The Leftovers (HBO)

Finally watched the first episode.

Some things different from the book that are intriguing. But that stuff never bothered me. Don't need the show to be like the book.

I'm guessing a lot of people felt this way, are they assuming we know what's going on already? Because it sure felt like they were making tons of assumptions.

I kinda liked it and set a season pass for it, but I was completely clueless during that pilot.

Re: The Leftovers (HBO)

Am I the only one questioning the logic behind " let's make a show where 10% of the population vanishes without a trace, and the people left behind struggle to cope, yet we will not explain the circumstances around people disappearing, the show is not about that...."

I also resent the notion that "the fans ruined lost with their expectations of answers" sorry, but that's a cop out. They kept us on the hook for years teasing all these hidden explanations for everything, and then got upset when the majority of people were upset with their handling of things.

They didn't hVe to make people disappear in the manner that they did, if they want character driven drama series, they could make a show about anything, with no supernatural overtures and let the characters drive the plot. They made the show where some rapture type event went down, it is what the show is about, I expect there to be some closure about that event when I am done with the show, or there's no point in watching it.

Re: The Leftovers (HBO)

Yeah. This show isn't for you then.

I don't see a problem with the logic but I'm sure they know there are people that will agree with you.
