Yeah, I know Cox has a higher limit on their gigabit fiber, but there may still be one...

I don't have any fiber options currently...that's a slower buildout and usually to newer neighborhoods unless it's a bigger thing.

Eventually things will adapt to let me cut easier, but it's not financially that big of an improvement vs. benefits for me.

The biggest difference though is the FTV can do 4K streams while the stick can't.

Never dug into as much as you but for my needs it does the same things. The FTV is smoother to me and I prefer it that is why I have it in my living room as oppose to the stick which is in the bedroom but for me they're the same but if u want to get technical yeah sure you're probably right.

Re: Amazon Firestick vs Amazon FireTV

Wow.. thanks for all the replies. I eventually ended up getting the Fire TV for $90 and am very happy with it period. I got rid of the extended cable package I had and just got basic with high-definition so I can get local stations. But I also purchased the $20 sling TV package which gives me more than enough for my needs. Very happy with my decision it also cut my cable bill down to a half! By the way the Fire TV does support 7.1 surround sound
