This may just be a very elaborate AFD joke, but with several sites reporting it, for now I'll post that Zac Efron has been cast to play Eddie Brock in the upcoming R-rated Venom movie.

I've learned to stop doubting the castings for these movies. The last 4 or 5 times I doubted one, I was proven wrong. With maybe one exception, but I don't wanna stir the pot again with that.

Honestly I could see Efron doing just fine. Assuming the news is legit.

I think Efron would do a great job. I've enjoyed his last few movies and I think he's got the acting chops and comedic timing to pull something like this off.
