Questions for Finn's Editor

First, I would like to thank Flying Finn for his contributions to the league rosters. Because of the updates, additional sliders for the rosters (Props to Candyman for his hard work) and custom soundtracks, I feel like I am playing a totally new game.

I just downloaded the most recent update from Fins website (I couldn't find the previous versions anywhere else) so some of these things are still new to me.

Now to the questions:

1. I know what the practice squad is in real football, but how is it used in NFL2K5? I searched the game, and to my knowledge, the practice squad does not exist, but I can see it in Finn's editor. So is there a way to place players on the practice squad using the editor, to keep then "hidden" from other teams and let them develop while your roster is full, instead of releasing them to free agency and hoping nobody signs them?

2. When assigning faces to created players or current players, is there an image list to go by, or do we just have to use trial and error?

3. If an updated version is released, will there be an option to view a players overall rating?

Thanks again

Re: Questions for Finn's Editor

1. Never seen the Practice Squad in the editor. Maybe I'm overlooking a feature that isn't documented very well?

2. When assigning the face, it shows the players picture as well. You can simply scroll with the arrows buttons on your keyboard. Not all have photos for some reason (or they don't always show up). All of the UNK type faces are not viewable at this point.

3. I thought about this last night while I did the full draft class coming up in 2006. But how is the overall really calculated for each position? If that was common knowledge it would be included already would be my guess. But me thinks it isn't as simple as finding the mean (average) of all attributes

Hope that helps.

Nice answers. As for the practice squad, it is a feature I am working on but it is not functional in the current editor.

Re: Questions for Finn's Editor

Thanks Finn.

I only just came back to NFL2k5 this winter after a long hiatus through the summer and fall. Glad to see the scheduling become part of your editor.

Any new features you have in mind for the future? If I can help with anything let me know. I own a very successful media company and work in the professional film industry as well.

PM if you want the name or link. I don't post it on the boards because when media/clients/etc search my name I don't want a video game board to show up with my professional work

Re: Questions for Finn's Editor

Here is my question. I am currently in franchise and I am trying to change attributes of my players in mid season but the game freeze before I can play the game. Have this happen to anyone else?

Re: Questions for Finn's Editor

A good rule of thumb is to make all your changes after preseason and before any week 1 games are played or simulated.

By doing this you are able to change the schedule for that year as well.

I do all my edits, including draft class rosters after preseason and before week 1. Never had a problem yet. Maybe I'm lucky
