Transfer from Original Xbox to 360 here is what you need

Ok, because i plan on getting either an Xsata or Xport (although i don't know which is better), and i wanted to know if i would still be able to edit like i could b4. But the fact that u can change the editor to take a 360 file is amazing if i say so myself.

Nope u can only put audio by using copying a cd

How about 90% certain? You hit the "Y" button to choose clips from your HD music, but it does nothing on the 360. Probably an issue with the emulation program being able to access the music on the 360 HD.

im surprised you would be able to see the music stored on ur 360 hdd at all considering that 2k5 was made to access a xbox hd and not a 360 hdd.

I think if you move the music from your original xbox to the partition on the 360 HDD that the 360 uses for xbox 1 stuff you should be able to access it. I am not sure where it needs to go but as soon as my 360 comes back from M$ I will check into it.

Yeah, I'm sorry...I considered myself pretty "hardcore" just for knowing how to get updated rosters off of GameFAQ's and transporting them via flash drive. I'm a little confused as to why similar technology for transferring (and converting files from Xbox to 360 format) doesn't exist for this new, more advanced system.

I really want to play with modern rosters, but I can't go buying a $50 peripheral, which, in my hands, would have zero chance of NOT accidentally wiping out my entire harddrive.

I might load up Finn's editor and use it as a guide to make as many edits to the original roster as the game's "memory" would allow (this is why I stopped creating my own PS2 2k5 rosters). You guys do great work, but you're in a little over my head.
