Re: Transfer from Original Xbox to 360 here is what you need

Is there any way to manipulate 'Media' sharing between the 360 and a PC ? I know you can connect to the 360 via Media Sharing on Vista but you can only share pictures, movies and music. But perhaps there is a way to get that to work somehow long enough to transfer the file.

I doubt you could trick the 360 to stream roster files. The music on the 360 isn't on the same partition as the XBOX 1 files are.

Here's a question: Can I download the current rosters and schedule without having an original x-box?

Oh yeah, in fact I updated some of the teams last night and put THAT new save on my 360, to replace the first one.

I'm not a tech savvy kind of gamer, so I ended up doing the following:

Update 2K5 roster with Flynns editor, save file to Xbox1 memory card with ActionReplay.

Plug that memory card into the Xport memory card adapter and move that roster file to a folder on my PC.

Put 360 HD into Xport and move PC file to the 360 HD.

Put 360 HD back onto system and enjoy roster updates.

I believe I should be able to modify the 2K5 roster on the PC and move it directly to the 360 HD, but I'm going with what seems easier to me, or at least what has worked for me.

^ do you also have an Xchange? if so, is it possible to then upload the file here using the Xchange (and NOT the xplorer) as a .z36 file?

Sorry, I'm using the Xport, and I'm not even sure the best way to use that! Downloading a file to your PC should be easy enough, but for most the problem will be moving it from the PC to the 360 HD.

I think only the Xsata and Xport can do that, as the 360 memory cards won't work. I'm hoping someone will come up with a brillant solution for most... or maybe Datel wakes up and understands there is a new demand for the Xport/Xsata...
