You've found a home here then. You're amongst the goons that use to keep season stats in a spiral notebook.

I thought I was the only one that did that.

Me too. I am embarassed to admit it but I used to keep my own stats for baseball and football games. What a tool.

32 years young baby

Who here remembers:

- The Orange two player handheld football game (Was this the Mattel game?) Trying to play w/ two players was IMPOSSIBLE because the very concept of two 8 year olds holding a game STEADY enoghh to even see the screen is quite silly.

- Getting your fingers caught on the trackball on tabletop game or how about the smell around that game. Big sweaty guys tryin' to roll that ball hard as humanly possible + The confined space of the local bowling-alley arcade = Very, VERY foul odor.

- Calling those weird Atari 2600 player models real people. My running back was always Eric Dickerson

Love this thread! Us seniors gotta stick together

35 here...and y'all have convinced me that I have to buy this game. Last year I had Fever (XBOX) because someone gave it to me and it was kinda fun. I rented Madden and I didn't think gameplay was much different from any of the Madden games that I played years ago. So if I was able to play Fever 2002 all of last year than I'm sure I will enjoy ESPN

Re: Wow... Just... Wow

I am 35, and man I still believe I have scars from pinch marks on those old track ball tables. I am simply amazed how far we have come since the days of the Atari 2600, 3do, Pong, and the Intellivision. I remember reading a forum where somebody was complainig about jaggies in a modern day game. I laughed because your whole player on the earlier systems was a jaggie. Football games have come a long way since those days. I would have never imagined that anything close to ESPN Football would have ever been possible.

Re: Wow... Just... Wow

Great thread guys.
Since everyone is so eager to tell their age; I am 37.
I do agree with a post "higer up" that said that we older guys appreciate these new games more than the kids.
I have to go with Fever though because Sega is so bad in releasing games here in Europe.
Does ESPN have something xsn-ish on xbox???

Hope you all enjoy your game.
