Does the ability exist to edit depth charts within the editor? If so, how is that done? Please answer..

Yes,just go to 'edit' on the toolbar and scroll down to 'depth chart' and there you go.Click on the position and you can adjust players.

I'm about to pick this game up for 99 cents.
Question: I plan on playing it on my regular X-Box, and if I just want updated rosters and schedules, do I just need to download those files from NFL2k5rosters.com or do I need to also download Flying Finn's editor?

The rosters themselves are ready to go. The editor is helpful if you want to change things like how many teams are cpu/human run, fixing messed up depth charts (that happens sometimes), and minor issues. Otherwise, you just need the rosters and an Action Replay to transfer them to your memory card.

If you want the current 2008 schedule, you will need to download a 2008 franchise file as no roster update can have any schedule attached to it.
