Divisonal Round

Titans Sneak By Bills
@
17--------------14
Chris Johnson was held in check with 50 yards and 1 TD. Not bad considering the situation with Buffalo's dubious running defense this season.
"I think we figured out the concept of tackling. It was like someone had a slider messed up on a Madden game all year long." said Paul Posluszny after the game.

Rob Bironas won the game on a 48 yard field goal with 4 minutes left in the game. The Bills were simply unable to recover in the blizzard conditions.

The consolation prize? Aaron Maybin knocked out Kerry Collins in the 4th quarter with a major back injury. Collins (22/30 for 369 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT) was carted off the field and will miss the rest of the playoffs. That means the Titans are in the hands of Vince Young.

Quick Hits
  • Marshawn Lynch was held to 38 yards on 16 carries
  • Terrell Owens had a 6 reception game with 54 yards
  • Marcus Stroud had 4 tackles and 2 sacks
  • Aaron Maybin was held in check with just one tackle.

Double Trouble Dooms Saints
Adrian Peterson had 140 yards and 2 TDs while Chester Taylor chipped in 105 yards and 1 TD.

Drew Brees was 17/38 in his worst game of the season.

ROFLberger threw for 239 yards and 3 TDs in a dominating win over the Broncos.

Tony Romo threw for 300 yards and 4 TDs to lead the Cowboys to the NFC Title Game! (Holy Crap)

Conference Championship

Steelers Make Repeat Trip To Super Bowl
@
16--------------21
Vince Young's 4 Interceptions crushed any hopes for the Titans.

Romo To Williams!!!!!!
@
24-------------21
Down 21-16 with eight seconds left, Tony Romo hit Roy Williams in the back of the endzone. Could this be the year that the Cowboys actually earn some playoff respect!?

SUPER BOWL XLIV

COWBOYS WIN!!!!
@

The Steelers led 10-6 at halftime and 17-6 early in the third quarter. However, Romo would guide the Cowboys to 26 unanswered points (17 of them in the 4th Quarter).

Tony Romo threw 4 TDs and 2 INTs on his way to being named Super Bowl MVP.

Big Moves Happen In February

Jauron Fired By Bruce Smith
It was something we all saw coming as soon as Smith called the meeting with Jauron after the loss to the Titans.
"We appreciate the services given by Dick over the last few years, but in the end, we really need to start fresh here in Buffalo. A new attitude and a winning tradition is what our fans expect. You can count on our dedication to that end."
- Bruce Smith's letter to the press.

It shouldn't be a surprise that Defensive Coordinator, Perry Fewell was also let go in the process, the Bills' run defense was deplorable. We will see who the new coach decides to hire as his coordinators.

OWENS TRADED!!!

Ron Rivera and Bruce Smith have either made a blockbuster trade or the most boneheaded decision ever.

In the late hours of March 23rd they agreed to send Terrell Owens to the rival New York Jets for Vernon Gholston and 1st and 2nd Rd Picks.

The Jets were in dire need of a WR for their young franchise QB Mark Sanchez, and the Bills needed some defensive threats - they hope Gholston can live up to his potential.
