Re: Clemson Tigers: Getting back to the late 80's. (NCAA11)

Defense Suffocates NT
Bowers injures two running backs, Brandon Maye shows it's not just a two man rodeo on defense and fans wonder when Superstar DeAndre McDaniel will show up.

(North Texas scoops up the fumble to go up 7-0)

Clemson’s season starts off with a coin toss loss and North Texas surprisingly elects to kick the ball off. Andre Ellington returns the ball eleven yards and it’s time for Clemson’s first drive of the season. It starts off well with New QB Tajh Boyd tossing the pigskin to HB Jamie Harper for a seven yard gain, and then just like the previous year Jamie Harper fumbles on the first running play of the year, North Texas picks the ball off the turf and runs it in for a TD. North Texas on top of Clemson 7-0 as the crowd lets out a huge groan

5:26 left in the first quarter and North Texas kicks it off once again, as Andre Ellington explodes on the return for a 38 yards, and then Harper picks up 16 on the ground. Newly appointed QB Tajh Boyd shows his nervousness and misses three straight passes and Dawson Zimmerman punts for 41 yards.

(MLB Brandon Maye picks off the pass and gives Clemson it's first points of the season)

North Texas QB Nathan Tune passes the ball to M. Outlaw for three yards and on the very next play, PICK SIX by MLB Brandon Maye. It’s all ties up at 7-7 with 4:30 left in the first quarter

After a terrible drive by North Texas, they punt the ball to Clemson who has excellent field position. With a 5 yard rush by Harper, and then Tajh Boyd makes all Clemson fans smile as he hits a wide open Terrance Ashe for 41 yards and for Clemson’s first lead of the game. 14-7

Clemson kicks off the ball and immediately North Texas QB hits M. Outlaw for a HUGE strike down the field for 56 yards but they can’t do anything after that and miss a 36 yard fieldgoal (this is where I upped the CPU FG accuracy from 60 to 70)

With alright field position, Clemson decides to show off it’s power run game. Jamie Harper gains 7 yards and then a HUGE 74 yards by big Jamie on a POWER I running play. Clemson up 21-7 at the end of the first.

SECOND Quarter

Superstar Left defensive end Da'Quan Bowers CRUSHES the running back

North Texas can’t do anything with the ball on their drive (Which will continue throughout the game as the defense was extremely tough) and they punt it. With a 16 yard rush by QB Tajh Boyd, and then a Boyd strike to Marquan Jones for 21 yards, the Tigers were once again in scoring range. A 5 yard rush by Harper and then Boyd hits Brandon Clear for 24 yards and a touchdown and the Tigers are up 28-7.

(The rest of the game summary will be less lengthy as there is no excitement and I mass subbed anyways)

(MLB Brandon Maye gets his second pick six of the ballgame)

Kickoff, the Mean Green can’t do much and after 4 rushes Jamie Harper finds the endzone again to make it 35-7. Next Mean Green drive, and Brandon Maye grabs his second pick six of the game and makes it 42-7. Mean Green punt the ball next drive and Clemson runs out the clock.

HALF TIME
(I put the temp on conservative and mass subbed)

THIRD QUARTER

Clemson gets a stop, and forces North Texas to punt. A great time eating drive from carry splitting RB Andre Ellington happens and the Tigers end the quarter with no points.

Fourth Quarter

RB Andre Ellington gets crushed at the goal line, but scores

Andre Ellington ends the massive drive with a 2 yard TD rush to make it 49-7.
Next Mean Green drive backup defensive end gets to NT QB Nathan Tune THREE TIMES IN A ROW, for THREE SACKS and forces them to punt out of their own endzone. Another time consuming drive and kicker Richard Jackson notches his first points of the season and makes it 52-7 on a 37 yard FG. Nothing else exciting happens besides a 15 yard TD rush by Ellington towards the end to make it 59-17 and Clemson brings home it’s first win of the season.

Tajh Boyd's first College TD Pass to Terrance Ashe

I’m waiting for the Cinci game to decide if I need to up the sliders. North Texas is a terrible team and they should get rocked but still….I was having good games in play now with these sliders so we will wait and see.

Great game there, it is ok to rub it in the face of some of these bad teams, heck I would know, I am playing as one of them.......
Great setup, looking forward to the Cincy game.

Re: Clemson Tigers: Getting back to the late 80's. (NCAA11)

Primary Concerns: QB(1), WR(1), K(1)

The Main Prospects

Pocket Passing QB, Derek Newby

6'1 From Alabama
Top 3: Clemson, Wisconsin, Georgia
Offered: No
Notes: We stayed his number one team...That's a good sign, right? Wisconsin offered the kid, but he hasn't committed.. We're holding off on offering until it's absolutely necessary.

Balanced QB, Colby Hines
6'4 from Connecticut
Top 3: Clemson, North Carolina, Missouri
Offered: No
Notes: We stayed numero uno. North Carolina jumped ahead of Georgia Tech and Missouri. They offered him and so did Iowa.

Hard Hitting CB, Kyle Scott
5'9 from Florida
Top 3: Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech
Offered: YES
Notes: We stayed number one! The two Georgia teams actually jumped ahead of the homestate Florida team. TAKE THAT FSU. Georgia Tech offered.

Balanced WR, Michael Woods
5'10" from Georgia
Top 3: Georgia Tech, Clemson, Georgia
Offered: Yes
Note: We jumped up to second ahead of the bulldogs! Georgia tech has offered and they are jumping out ahead, so we offered him this week.

Balanced WR, Martin Porter
6'2" from North Carolina
Top 3: North Carolina, Clemson, Cincinatti
Offered: Yes
Note: We stayed in second place, although cinci did jump ahead of Georgia Tech

Balanced MLB, David Gates
6'3" from Florida
Top 3: Clemson, Wisconsin, Alabama
Offered: Yes
Notes: We jumped ahead of both Alabama and Michigan for the time being. Wisconsin offered and so did Georgia Tech.

Blocking TE, Lee Sykes
6'0" from Michigan
Top 3: Wisconsin, Clemson, Missouri
Offered: Yes
Notes: We stayed in second. Clemson and Wisconsin offered, we are right on their heels only -20 down.

ATHLETE, Ben Maddox
6'0 from Florida
Top 3: Clemson, North Carolina, FSU
Offered: YES
Notes:UNC jumped ahead of FSU with a offer. We are basically a lock for this guy as I see it though. He's ready for a visit, but my dumb self forgot to schedule him this week. Doh!

Kicker, Dominique Curry
5'11 from South Carolina
Top 3: Clemson, NCSU, GT
Offered: Yes
Notes: I've never seen a white dude named Dominique...especially a white kicker. NC State and Clemson have offered...I hope I get him.

oh oh oh I think they like me, oh oh oh they all on me
