Re: Clemson Tigers: Getting back to the late 80's. (NCAA11)

The Eye of The Tiger*s*
Auburn puts up the first TD against the Tiger Defense, and the first fight of the season. Coach Danny pleased with sliders.

First Quarter

Tajh Boyd finds Byron Clear on on a seam route in the redzone for the first score of the day. Clemson 7-0

Second Quarter

Tajh Boyd hits Marquan Jones and Jones makes an OUTSTANDING catch for 24 yards after getting drilled (Replay at the bottom)

Xavier Dye powers his way across the goal line.

Boyd then hits Xavier Dye on a slant route for 8 yards and a touchdown. Clemson up 14-0, and it’s looking like another blow out.

Next drive Marcus Gilchrist makes an outstanding one-handed INT for the Tigers. Two Tajh Boyd passes to Dwayne Allen and Xavier Dye for 20 yards puts the Tigers in field goal range and they make it 17-0 going into halftime

Third Quarter

Cameron Newton scoots in the endzone for the first Auburn TD and first Offensive TD against the Tiger Defense all year.

Clemson gets the ball but a sloppy 3 and out later they have to put the ball. First play of the second half for the Auburn Tigers C. Newton hits D. Adams for 47 yards on a nice quarter route. A couple of plays later and C. Newton puts the first offensive TD of the year against the Clemson defense on the board after a nice 4 yard option run. 17-7 Clemson.

After a penalty costing Clemson 15 yards, they have to punt the ball giving Auburn GREAT field postion which they will capitalize on with a 37 yd FG kick by W. Byrum to bring within 7. 17-10

Fourth Quarter

A couple of series later, after Clemson and Auburn exchange punts, Jamie Harper finds some room and gets Clemson in FG range. Richard Jackson makes a 25 yarder on fourth and inches to go up 20-10 with 2 minutes left in the game.

First play after the kickoff Cameron Newton hits a WIDE OPEN E. Blake for 57 yards and 4 more passes later to Blake, Fanin, and Burnes, Mario Finan rushes the ball for two yards and a TD to bring the Auburn tigers within 3 with 1:33 left. Clemson 20-17

Jamie puts the game out of reach on a great run
Clemson recovers the onside. Jamie Harper then reaches the outside on a stretch play and takes it to the house for a 36 yard TD run to safely put the game out of reach 27-17

C. Newton is picked off by Coty. Sensabough on the next drive and Clemson just runs the clock out.

I’m liking the results. Hopefully the continue to give me good games.

Nice win over Auburn, looks like Heisman mode was a good switch for you!

Yeah, I think i'm going to try Silent Nature's sliders on AA. I played some playnow games on my current sliders on Heisman and I hate it. The computer obviously cheats sometimes. Not for me. Thanks for checking in.

Re: Clemson Tigers: Getting back to the late 80's. (NCAA11)

Just played the best game that I have ever had against the hurricanes. Truely ****. Game report coming right up.

Is there anything I can do in terms of presentation or writing to make this more enjoyable for the few that follow?
