Game Notes
Wow. That's all I can say. Wow. If you wondered if Michigan could make a legit run at the Big Ten Championship, you no longer have to wonder, because Michigan came into Happy Valley, and dominated!
The first quarter, both defenses played top notch, even forcing a turnover each. But one the second quarter started, it's like something snapped into place for Michigan. Then, the boys in maize and blue took off, and just refused to stop.
Tate Forcier has obviously found his rhythm, as he threw for more yards this game than he has all season. In fact, I think that the whole team has found their rhythm, because they just could not be stopped tonight. And as far as their defense goes, they took everything that Penn State could throw (or run) at them, and stopped them dead in their tracks.
Even Jordan Kovacs, one of Michigan's strong safeties, ended up with two interceptions on the night, one of which, he returned 41 yards for a touchdown.
Michigan has two tough opponents left, in Wisconsin and Ohio State. But as well as they have been playing lately, if they can do that against the Badgers and the Buckeyes, I think you could most definitely see them crowned the Big Ten Champions this year!

Game Notes
Michigan gets it done, yet again! This time, They pick apart the Fighting Illini. By halftime, Illinois actually seemed to be threatening.
In the third quarter, the teams held each other scoreless. But in the fourth, Tate Forcier came out, hitting Martavious Odoms with a 20 yard pass for a TD. Later on, they hit about a 50-yard field goal to put the game out of reach for the Fighting Illini.
Next up, Michigan travels to Purdue, where they look to continue their winning ways, and punch in one more win, before facing arguably the two toughest opponents of their seasons, Wisconsin, and Ohio State.

Re: Go Blue: Taking Michigan Back to Glory (NCAA Football 11)

Thanks.

Yeah, I'm thinking those will be two tough games. But we'll see. I thought the games against Michigan State, Iowa, and Penn State would be pretty difficult too.

I'm very happy with how this year is going for the Wolverines.

How do you guys like my layout, with my game notes and all that? I'm trying to write it as a sports writer would.

Here's a nice picture from Michigan's victory over Illinois:

Sack by Ryan Van Bergen - who is most likely going to break Michigan's school record for most sacks in a season.

Good season, playing against BGSU right now on Heisman and on my way to a 3-0 start in my Michigan Dynasty.

Re: Go Blue: Taking Michigan Back to Glory (NCAA Football 11)

I'm still mad at myself for how I played against Notre Dame. I was still new to this game. So I think next year, I'll get my vengeance against them!
