Commits
Ryan Hutchinson, OLB, Key West, FL
Caliber: *****
Position Rank: #1
National Rank: #33
Scouting Report: Hutchinson was swiped from LSU after the Florida native witnessed Auburn's linebacker play against the Gators. He's not the most agile outside linebacker, but already tackles like an established starter, and is one of the hardest hitters in any high school. Could use a lot of work on side to side movement, but might start next year.

Pat Wise, DE, Tarrant, AL
Caliber: ****
Position Rank: #8
National Rank: 120
Scouting Report: Auburn's first in-state commit of the year is a 6'6'' pass rusher who specializes in using his power moves to get to the quarterback. Wise could use a bit more bulk in his 234 pound frame, but projects as a starting end on a good SEC team

Jeremy Spencer, TE, Bainbridge, GA
Caliber: ****
Position Rank: #6
National Rank: #201
Scouting Report: The four star tight end is considered one of the best blocking tight ends in the country. A lifelong Auburn fan, he committed immediately after a scholarship offer was made.

Re: Auburn Tigers (NCAA '12)

I am getting absolutely destroyed...Heisman recruiting is a lot more challenging this year. If I'm going after a guy and I don't get at least 400 points on the call I'm usually moving down on the list if he has another team offering him. Although, if I get Newsome (should be a cinch I'm up 640 points) and Robinson (not so much of a cinch) I can close the gap a bit.

The other problem is that Auburn has like 8 seniors on the roster so I really don't want to bring in 25 guys since I'm just going to end up cutting them anyways. Usually I try to grab some of the high-end in-state three star guys but there's just no room this year.

Re: Auburn Tigers (NCAA '12)

LSU drives Ford over Auburn

BATON ROUGE (AP) - As the sun set in Death Valley, the LSU Tigers ensured the same thing wouldn't happen to their season.

Down nine points at half, the Fighting Tigers held the vaunted Auburn offense to no second half points and Jarvis Landry's 25 yard end around was the difference in a 27-23 LSU win.

Louisiana State (5-3, 3-2) avoided the ignominy of being .500 or lower in October for the first time since the dreadful 1999 season. They were buoyed by Mike Ford's record breaking performance, as the tailback ran for 259 yards on the day, a LSU single game high. Ford ran for at least 50 yards in each quarter, and had a sparkling 67 yard touchdown in the 2nd quarter where he broke six tackles.

However, it was the home team getting booed off the field at the end of the first half due to an incredible set of circumstances. Auburn started with the ball on their own 20, and only one second on the clock. A routine handoff to Michael Dyer went for 14 yards, but Kevin Minter's facemask moved the ball to midfield and gave the Tigers one more play. Clint Moseley, who replaced an injured Barrett Trotter, found Emory Blake with a Hail Mary to give Auburn a 23-14 lead at the break.

Moseley outperformed his counterpart in Jordan Jefferson, but LSU's rushing attack was too much for the Auburn to handle. The Tigers also had to deal with an injury to Trotter, who will be out until at least the Georgia game in three weeks. Philip Lutzenkirchen was also hurt during the game, and its believed he will be out until the Iron Bowl.

Auburn gets a tough challenge next week from an Ole Miss team that headed into today's action at 4-2 and took top ranked Alabama to the wire in a 28-27 loss, where the Crimson Tide's Eddie Lacy scored the winning touchdown with two seconds left to cap a 22 point fourth quarter.

Jason Dickerson, QB, Rockville, MD
Caliber: ****
Position Rank: #3
National Rank: #48
Scouting Report: One of the prized recruits in this year's quarterback class, Dickerson may have the strongest arm in the nation, which will only get better as he adds more muscle onto his 183 pound frame. The righty is deceptively quick, and should be a very good fit in Gus Malzahn's spread offense.

Lost

Wendell Keyes, MLB, Meadowbrook, AL
Caliber: ****
Hard Commit: Alabama

Daryl Bradley, C, Oxford, AL
Caliber: ****
Hard Commit: Alabama

Mike Wallace, DT, Lexington, TN
Caliber: *****
Hard Commit: Penn State

Re: Auburn Tigers (NCAA '12)

Dyer's three scores save Auburn

AUBURN (AP) - Michael Dyer scored three touchdowns, including the winning score with just over two minutes remaining, as Auburn (7-2, 4-2) kept its slim SEC West title hopes alive with a 31-24 win over Mississippi (4-4, 1-4).

The sophomore ran for 141 yards on the day, after struggling the previous two weeks. On the final scoring drive, he gained 35 yards on six carries, including two big third down conversion plays. He was aided by Clint Moseley, who did an admirable job filling in for Barrett Trotter, throwing for 256 yards and a touchdown.

Auburn benefited from poor defensive schemes near the half for the second straight week. After James Logan caught a 34 yard pass for a touchdown to give Ole Miss a 21-14 lead, the Tigers started a drive on their own 20 with eleven seconds to go. Auburn lined up in a run formation, but ran a playaction pass. The Rebels were caught napping, and Moseley aired it out to Deangelo Benton who made the catch with no one near him and ran for an 80 yard touchdown that tied the game and completely changed the momentum.

The Rebels got a good performance from their halfback, as Brandon Bolden rushed for 173 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including an 80 yarder at the start of the second quarter. Randall Mackey struggled to complete passes, but was efficient enough to pace the Rebels' 446 yard offensive attack, their second highest of the season. Unfortunately for them, the Auburn offense had 490 yards, moving them temporarily into first in the country in total yardage.

Auburn gets a week off before traveling between the hedges into Athens, Georgia to take on the Bulldogs in a rivalry battle.
