DCDuck: Thanks

Oh So Close

Rick Dundee holds on to the pass after being hit in the end zone for a rare lineman touchdown.

A defensive miscue led to Nick Nicholson 67 yard score.

Cruisers Escape With Win

Connor Tillman adds to his season sack total. Is it enough for the Lombardi Award?

On just a simple Iso run Jonathan Taylor was able to break free from defenders and plant himself in the record books on his 99 yard run.

Walk-On Dane Lewis has been a nice surprise all year long and he capped off his 2011 performance with a 53 yard score.

NDAlum: Glad you like them. I think the dark and light blue color scheme goes together very well.

Carolina Cruisers

2011 Carolina Cruisers Recruiting Update

As the regular season has closed out and recruiting is put on hold until after the bowl games the Cruisers received five additional commits over the past two weeks. Even with the commitment of Paul Henderson Carolina is still looking to add one more Defensive End. Also on the high priority list is securing another Defensive Tackle and Offensive Lineman.

Here's a quick look at the other four new Cruiser commits:

*** SS Sean Fields
Macon, GA
6-5 210

The staff has been drooling over Fields' potential. While there's not one skill where he's profoundly great at, he doesn't have any holes in his game. Most predict Fields will move into a Linebacking role and he could be a candidate for a starting role as a true freshman.

*** WR Wade White
Fort Polk South, LA
6-1 190

He leaves some to be desired when going over the middle, but White is a crisp route runner and when he has separation he can be a solid possession receiver.

** TB Taurean Cox (Juco - Jr)
Chester, SC
5-9 190

Cox is a shifty runner. He should provide some speed and elusiveness out of the backfield when spelling Jonathan Taylor.

** TB Ray Harris (Juco - So)
Inner Grove Heights, MN
5-9 205

A likely redshirt candidate, but when Harris does see in-game action he too can provide some speed when given the opportunity. Unlike Taurean Cox, Harris' extra 15 pounds allows him to break more tackles.
