It seemed to be a pretty close game until the second half. Matt Schaub was on a tear throwing for 4 touchdowns and only 1 interception. The missing of Owen Daniels and Mario Williams must not be effecting them much because both tight ends, Joel Dreessen and Garrett Graham, had a touchdown each in the game. Blaine Gabbert threw two picks, one in each half, and threw a touchdown to none other than Marcedes Lewis in garbage time. Marcedes had a great game with 9 receptions for over 100 yards and a touchdown. Maurice Jones-Drew had another 100+ yard rushing game, but had 2 fumbles, one of them on the 1 yard line which was critical. After that fumble the Texans took advantage of the home field advantage and scored 28 points in the second half. The Jags could not do anything to stop Matt Schaub as he was playing like Tom Brady this game, but that's what happens when you have Andre Johnson. The Jaguars will take this loss to a bye week to look over their mistakes and hope to be refreshed for a tough game against the AFC South 1st place Indianapolis Colts. Stay tuned for the mid-season report of league leaders and much more.

It seems that the neck surgery Peyton Manning went through is not affecting his play style at all as he the league's leading passer in rating, yards, and touchdowns. He has 2,404 yards, 18 touchdowns and 3 interceptions in 8 games so far. He is leading the Colts to 1st place in the AFC South and as of right now first place in the Wild Card standings. A couple of Jaguars are number 1 in stat leaders. Maurice Jones-Drew is crushing his competition with over 1,200 yards and he has rushed for 11 touchdowns. Marcedes Lewis is leading the league in receptions with 52 as Blaine Gabbert just can't seem to shy away from him. Dan Connor has stepped up for a horribly injured Panthers linebacker core with the most tackles this season thus far. Bryan Thomas has put up the most sacks with 10.5, helping his New York Jets becoming the best team in the league right now with the 49ers as well. Antoine Winfield and Jerraud Powers are tied for first in interceptions and actually have double the amount of players that are in second place with 6 interceptions. Last but not least, Mike Nugent has the most field goals made this season so far, as he has only missed two. It should be noted Rob Bironas has only missed one on 21 attempts and David Akers has hit all 16 of his field goals so far. The number 1 seed in the NFC is the San Francisco 49ers and the number 2 seed is the New Orleans Saints. Yes, the Cardinals do have a better record than the Saints but since the Cardinals are in the same division as the 49ers, they can't be the overall number 2 seed so they take the number 4 seed as the best overall record other than division winners. The number 1 spot in the AFC is the New York Jets and the number 2 spot is the Baltimore Ravens.

Rookie Watch
Minnesota Vikings (1-7): The Minnesota Vikings have the worst record in the NFL at 1-7. Donovan McNabb is having a terrible year not even having surpassed over 1,000 yards as Adrian Peterson has been trying to keep the team going with 652 yards. The only key injury they have is E.J. Henderson but other than that they shouldn't be losing. They did have an impressive win against the number 1 wildcard team, the Detroit Lions (5-3). Hopefully they turn things around.

Denver Broncos (1-6): The Denver Broncos are one of three teams that have only won one game so far, which was against the San Diego Chargers (3-4) by only 4 points. With Brian Dawkins on the IR, D.J. Williams missing the rest of the season and Brandon Lloyd practically out for the rest of the season, Kyle Orton doesn't have much to throw to. Willis McGahee has only rushed for 487 yards on 104 attempts because the Broncos keep losing early forcing them to pass. They are a top candidate for the number 1 pick of the 2012 draft.

St. Louis Rams (1-6): Sam Bradford is having a Sophomore Slump season having only 4 touchdowns and 5 interceptions for 1,275 yards. Steven Jackson has been having not as great a season with only 492 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Rams and Broncos I think will be up for the number 1 draft pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. The Rams' only win came against the Saints last week winning 23-10 which impressed us so we will see if they can keep this momentum coming up for the coming up weeks.

Re: Finishing Strong (2nd Try): A Jacksonville Jaguars Franchise (Madden 12)

Alright so just to let people know, I'm sorry about how Maurice Jones-Drew is going off a little too unrealistically but I really can't do anything about it haha. I mean the first two games I had I played on All-Madden which for me use to be very hard running but for some reason MoJo has no problem since I rushed over 100 yards both All-Madden games. So I'm sorry if I have followers that are thinking, "Oh he has rush D on too low to make it easy for him." Trust me no haha I have never played as a run first offense before so it is different for me but I love it haha. Btw depending where I end up at in the end of the season, I do have 1 guy for sure in mind to draft and you guys won't see it coming so I'm gonna play maybe 2-3 games tomorrow. I'm pumped for free agency and the draft, it's probably my favorite part of the franchise. I was also wondering if I could get your thoughts in what I could add to this to keep you guys interested? I like to hear from my followers so let me know what you like, don't like, and what I could add and I'll see what I could come up with it.

The Colts are coming in with a 4 game losing streak. Peyton Manning is this year's passing leader so far but the rushing game is what is killing this team both offensively and defensively. These teams are opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to how offenses run. The Colts are obviously a pass first offense while the Jags are a run first offense. Peyton might be the leader in passing, but Maurice Jones-Drew is the leader in rushing. I'm looking for this game to be a shootout as the Colts try to shake off a 4 game losing streak and beat the Jaguars who just came off a bye and are refreshed coming off a loss the week before. This should be a good one here in Indianapolis. Stay tuned for the final score and stats.

As i had predicted, this game was a shootout. The Colts got dismantled in the 4th, and my reasoning for the Colts losing was possession time. The Jaguars had practically doubled the possession time of the Colts. Blaine Gabbert came in the clutch late in the 4th to put the Jags up by 3 with 26 seconds left then Peyton threw his 3rd pick to Paul Posluszny who returned it for a touchdown to seal the win for the Jags. The Jaguars are the real deal this year. Marcedes Lewis is on a tear and Blaine Gabbert is starting to heat up as a starter getting more and more comfortable as a quarterback. The Jags are now at 6-3 going up against the 3-6 Cleveland Browns. The Colts will take their 5th loss in a row on a well needed bye week. They need the rest as they play a pretty good looking Panthers team in Week 12. Stay tuned for next week, we'll see you next time.

Dropping David Garrard seems to be Jack Del Rio's best move as the Jaguars under Blaine Gabbert are 6-3. Maurice Jones-Drew is having a record year, and Marcedes Lewis is tearing it up receiving as a Tight End as he is now becoming one of the Elites. Dallas Clark from last week told us," The man is amazing. He catches almost everything and I think the only thing stopping him from being one of the Elites is he needs more touchdowns and a little bit better blocking." Del Rio mentioned changing his offense next year depending on where they land in the draft. Stay tuned for the score and stats as this should be a breeze for the Jaguars.

The Browns defense played immaculate this game. They picked off Blaine Gabbert 4 times, sacked him 5 times, and held Maurice Jones-Drew to only 18 carries when he's been averaging around 30. The Browns also scored 30 of their 33 points in the 2nd quarter. Blaine Gabbert looked frustrated out there today but still put up decent numbers. Marcedes Lewis is still getting the most receptions and yards but the second string tight end, Zach Miller, brought in his first touchdown of the season today. Peyton Hillis had a field day against a very stingy Jaguars rush defense. Just a great overall game for the Browns as they take a win and move up to 4-6. The Jaguars are now tied with the Texans at 6-4, which is their next game in Jacksonville. Bad news for Jacksonville though, as their number 1 return man, Mike Thomas, suffered a Herniated Disk late in the game and is out for the rest of the season. Hopefully some of these receivers can step up as Kassim Osgood has been looking good these past 3 weeks. Stay tuned for next week's game against Houston.

The Texans and Jaguars will meet for a second time this season as last time's result was a Texans domination of the Jags, except this time they don't have Matt Schaub who is out with a dislocated ankle. The Jaguars are coming off an ugly loss to the Browns and are hoping to regain the AFC South lead. In my opinion, if Del Rio doesn't make the playoffs this year he will for sure lose his job as head coach. Maurice Jones-Drew is looking for another 100+ yard game and Blaine Gabbert is looking to throw less picks as he threw his most of the season, 4, last game against the Browns. This game is for the AFC South lead so it should be a tough played one. Stay tuned for the final score and stats.

It seems that the Texans need Matt Schaub and that could have been the game that decides the AFC South possibly as the Jags just have to play the Titans and Colts only one more time. Blaine Gabbert wasn't at his best today as he couldn't throw a touchdown pass and actually threw a pick instead. Matt Leinart had back to back pick sixes, one bounced off the third string tight end's head and Dwight Lowery took it back for six. It was completely opposite today rather than these two team's last game where Matt Schaub completely shredded Jacksonville's defense. The Jaguars stay at home to face the Chargers next week and the Texans go back home to face the Falcons. Stay tuned for next week.

The Jaguars are coming in 7-4 looking to increase their wins to make the playoffs this year. They have not lost at home and they're not planning to as they host the 5-6 San Diego Chargers. The Jaguars pass defense hasn't been the best this year and I think Philip Rivers is going to take advantage of that. I think the Chargers defense is going to put pressure on Blaine Gabbert and force him to make bad decisions in a Jaguars loss tonight. Stay tuned for the final score and stats.

The Jaguars put up a good fight, but fumbles were the cause of their loss. 2 fumbles by Maurice Jones-Drew stopped their momentum and Marcedes Lewis fumbled when they got into field goal range to tie the game which ended up letting San Diego run down the clock. Maurice Jones-Drew had a great game other than his 2 fumbles and Blaine Gabbert looked pretty accurate showing that his new receiver to go to other than Marcedes is Kassim Osgood. Jason Hill made the injured Mike Thomas proud on a kickoff return for a touchdown. Philip Rivers went off today with accuracy and their rookie Vincent Brown had 2 touchdowns on 6 receptions for the day. This might possibly be a close season to make the playoffs for the Jaguars. The Jags will have another game at home against the Buccaneers, then they will travel to Atlanta and Tennessee for the next 2 games, and finish the season at home against the Colts. Will the Jags go to the playoffs finishing strong, or will they fall again like they have for many years now? Stay tuned for next week's game against the Bucs.

The Season is coming close to an end and the playoffs are starting to get closer as the Jaguars are trying to fight off a 7-5 start and improve their record in these last 4 games to take the AFC South title and make the playoffs. The Bucs are 6-6 and it's still tight in the NFC South. The Jags are hoping to get a win and automatically have a .500 season at least. The Jaguars have the worst pass defense in the NFL and so far this season the Buccaneers have tons more passing yards than rushing yards. I'm predicting a decently close one today as these two teams are desperately fighting to make the playoffs. Stay tuned for the final score and stats.

The Jaguars pulled off a last second win with a Josh Scobee field goal. Blaine Gabbert could not get anything going for him this game as the rain was so dense. Jones-Drew carried the team on his back this game breaking off two huge touchdown runs, one a 52 yarder and one a 76 yarder, eventually running over 200 yards this game. Jones-Drew is probably going to break the most rushing yards in a season. He already has 1,998 yards and the record is 2,105. He might just break it in this next game against the Atlanta Falcons. The Jaguars are now 8-5 and the last three games consist of the 7-6 Atlanta Falcons, 5-8 Tennessee Titans and 6-7 Colts. We say they go 9-7 and barely make the playoffs. Stay tuned for next week against the Falcons.
