Eastern Michigan = slump buster! (Sounds like a date I had last fall ... but I digress.)

My Broncos were just too tough for you. Good to see a screenshot of my homey, Kendrick Roberts, from Flinttown!

You're using the same sliders I'm using and getting these results, right? Makes me want to renew our online rivalry!

Amherst, NY (AP) – The Buffalo Bulls fell behind by 18, then stormed back to stun the Massachusetts Minutemen 40-28 at UB Stadium on Saturday evening. Backup quarterback Alex Zordich on for injured Joe Licata and threw for 258 yards and two touchdowns to help lead the Bulls comeback.

Massachusetts (1-6, 1-2) was in control of this one when quarterback Mike Wegzyn scored on a 7 yard option keeper just before halftime to put the Minutemen up 28-10. But Alex Zordich hooked up with Alex Neutz on a 23 yard bullet for a score with just :04 left in the half and that seemed to turn the game around.

UMass racked up 327 yards before the half, but managed just 67 yards in the second half.

The Bulls took the second half kickoff and drove 57 yards for touchdown as backup halfback Devin Campbell scored from 4 yards out to cut the UMass lead to 28-24. A Patrick Clarke 27 yard field goal on Buffalo's next drive set the Bulls up to take the lead. Branden Oliver made the comeback complete with a 3 yard touchdown run late in the third quarter. The two point conversion failed but UB led 33-28.

Tight end Jimmy Gordon caught his second touchdown on the night early in the fourth to give UB their final points and move the Bulls into a first place tie in the MAC East as they improved to (2-5, 2-1).

Buffalo will head to Kent State (4-4, 1-3) next Saturday for a noon kick off.

Buffaloed
Bulls Roll Rival Kent State

Cortney Lester broke this one open with a TAINT in the third quarter.

Picks: Kirk: Kent State
Weather: Mostly Sunny
TV: None
Site: Dix Stadium (25, 319)

10/26/13
Kent, OH (AP) – The Buffalo Bulls won their first road game on 2013 on Saturday afternoon as they hammered Kent State 35-10 at Dix Stadium. Branden Oliver led the way for the Bulls, rushing for 127 yards and two touchdowns for the MAC East leading Bulls.

Senior tight end Jimmy Gordon got the Bulls on the scoreboard first, catching an 11 yard touchdown pass from Joe Licata midway through the opening quarter. Branden Oliver then scored touchdowns on runs of four and two yards in the second quarter as UB built a 21-3 lead.

Senior quarterback David Fisher connected with James Brooks for a six yard score late in the first half to cut the Bulls lead to 11 at the half.

The Golden Flashes (4-5, 1-4) had a chance to get right back in the game on their opening second half drive as they drove down to the Buffalo 15 yard line. But Cortney Lester had other ideas, as he picked off Fisher and returned it 90 yards for a TAINT (Touchdown After INT) as Buffalo went up 28-10.

Buffalo would cap the scoring in the fourth on Jimmy Gordon's second TD reception of the game, a three yarder from Joe Licata.

Kent State senior Dri Archer, who came into the game with 1019 yards rushing in eight games, was held to a season low 52 yards on just 11 carries

Buffalo (3-5, 3-1) will have a bye next week before hosting Ohio in a big eastern division match up that could determine whether the Bulls are a contender or a pretender.
