Re: Bryan Beastlick - The Hawkeyes Freshman Phenom tries to continue his success
We walked back to the locker room after the game was over, I immediately walked into the training room where my room mate, friend, and Wide Receiver, David Johnson was. He had gone down early in the third after catching a 12 yard out. He sat on the table, a bag of ice on his foot.
Me: How you feeling man?
David: Good, they said nothing major just a lower foot sprain and I should be back next week against Minnesota.
Me: Good, because you know we'll need you
David: Man, you ain't gotta lie to me.
David laughed.
David: Edwards, Strong, and Ross all had over 80 yards.
Me: But you had 99 yards, so we do need you.
David: I'll be right as rain, just give me a couple days.
Me: Alright, coach is coming in, so let's get in the locker room.
We headed into the locker room, well I walked, David hobbled a bit. Coach Ferentz walked into the door, a football in his hands.
Ferentz: Guys, what can I say? That was a great victory. You showed what a true team looks like and you ripped them apart!
The team shouted responding to him. Coach waited for it to get quiet again.
Ferentz: We had Ryan Owens, rush for 149 yards and 2 TD's. 4 receivers who had at least yards. And our own very own Heisman winner, Beastlick, throw 2 TD's and run 2 in as well. So for me to give this ball to anyone is unfair, because this one was everyone's! GO HAWKS!
We all cheered as coach walked out of the locker room.
