Re: Poke It Real Good: A Wyoming Cowboys Dynasty (NCAA '14)

The new ACC sets up with some great rivalry possibilities. First of all, the Michigan-Wisconsin B1G rivalry is carried over in the Michissee Divison. The Wolverines can also play little brother, Michigan State if both reach the conference championship. Also in the Michissee, the Volunteers and the Blue Raiders may be able to generate a regional rivalry.

As far as the Carolado Divison, there are no internal rivalries, but Colorado-BYU or South Carolina-Tennessee pairings in the conference championship would be interesting. Not to mention Wisconsin-MSU rekindled from the B1G. Heck, even a Michigan-Carolina game would allow for ESPN to replay Jadeveon Clowney's hit on Vincent Smith 1000000000000 more times.

As an added bit of bragging rights, the divisions will be renamed each year to represent the Top 2 teams in each division from the year before. Although we probably won't be seeing the Baledo or Middle New Tennessee Mexico State divisions anytime soon..

Poor NMSU!

That's 6 of the 10 conferences unveiled so far, with only the B1G, Big 12, Pac 12, and SEC left to reveal.

Liking the turnout so far WTNY. Each Division has some depth to it. The schools seem nicely spread out so far. Looking forward to seeing the rest and where the Pokes end up.

Re: Poke It Real Good: A Wyoming Cowboys Dynasty (NCAA '14)

The Big 12 really took a hit here. Losing Texas, Oklahoma, Okie State, TCU, and friends for the likes of UAB, ODU, LA Tech, TCU, and a pupu platter of weak to near-mediocre teams hurts this conference's prestige.

It may be the weakest conference so far (no, it IS definitely the weakest), but at least it's not boring and should be uber competitive. The Cougs, Warriors, and Rams have a little Pacific/West Coast thing going on and it should be interesting the see if the Horned Frogs and Gophers can make their mark against weaker programs.

In the Big 12 East, well, let's just remove the 12, ok? lol

It appears that part of ye olde Big East Conference has arisen from the ashes. Pitt, Louisville, BC, and WVA are all very familiar with one another. The Mountaineers and Monarchs are also regional rivals, sort of. And of course, how could this division be complete without a firebreathing dragon? The UAB Blazers will play the underdog role.

There really isn't any zest to any of the possible conference championship game matchups either...all of these teams are pretty foreign to one another. I suppose a TCU-Louisville game might have some lukewarm national appeal....?

3 conferences to go...B1G, Pac 12, and SEC...

Some major programs who have yet to be placed...Wyoming, Notre Dame, Alabama, Penn State, Florida, FSU, Miami, Ohio State, UCLA...did the Pokes land back in the Pac 12? Will they be playing Ohio State, Bama, Notre Dame, Florida, and the Nittany Lions every year? Stay tuned!

On a side note. I really like your recruiting class this year. Well you didn't land any offensive playmakers, you did a awesome job of rebuilding the "D" and getting some nice pieces on the 0-Lie.

Looking forward to seeing if WSU and Hawaii can compete in the Big 12 North.

Congrats on the NC. I'll be Laramie didn't need to be snowed in for three days to run out of alcohol. And there may be a new bullet hole or two in the mirror at the Buckhorn Bar.

Liking the shakeup.
