UCF Wins Ugly Game

Coach O'Leary called this one "the ugliest win I've ever seen," after the game today. The UCF offense was absolutely manhandled up front by UNC, but the defense saved the day. With 4 interceptions, 2 of which were returned for TDs, UNC moved the ball but failed to put points on the board. O'Leary expressed concern about the play of the offensive line stating "We've got a lot of work to do this week. We can't expect the defense to win us the game every week."

I have decided that I will be attempting to spice things up a bit by adding a game of the week graphic thing every week. This game will always be one of the "Notable Games" so you'll be able to see the final score.

Week 8

The Florida Gators pulled out a thrilling victory saturday night in double overtime. With 43 seconds left to play Hardin hit a 42 yard field goal to tie the game. In the first period of overtime both teams settled for field goals. In double overtime Florida scored on a 10 yard run to get the victory.

UCF Wins Again

The Knights managed to find a way to win once more this weekend, defeating Virginia 17-10. With just over a minute left Jacoby Glenn intercepted a pass on a fade route securing the victory.

Once again the UCF offense struggled to find it's groove, unable to move the ball effectively until the second half. The Knights were spectacular on defense once again, but can the defense continue to carry the team?

The first BCS Poll of the season has been released.

UCF Handles Pitt

Blake Bortles played an almost perfect game Saturday against Pitt, going 19/26 for 239 yards and 3 TDs. The Knights gave up quite a few yards, but were able to make key stops to prevent Pitt from getting points. The ground game struggled for the most part, averaging just 4 yards per carry. UCF now moves to 8-0 on the season.
