Chiefs Injury Report

Bad new for the Chiefs: 2nd round draft pick Travis Kelce fractured his elbow after a big hit against the Cowboys. The 23-year old tigh end will be out for 11 weeks, returning only for the last three games of the season. The organization decided to not put Kelce on IR, first of all because there no tigh ends in the free agent market that good to put in his place, or as a 3rd string. Second, 3rd stringer Sean McGrath proved that he can play, so there will be no problems about putting him as the backup to Fasano. Also, the Chiefs want Kelce in case they reach the playoffs.

Other bad injuries for other teams after this week:

Game Notes
The Eagles have the #3 ranked offense in the NFL and they are coming out a victory at home against the Chargers where they scored 35 points. Dinamic quarterback Michael Vick will be the starter in this game, but the real problem will be stopping Lesean McCoy, especially with this great offensive line leading the way. The fact that Jason Peters will not play is not that big of a deal, as the Eagles still have guard Evan Mathis. The defense is also really good, and the secondary is pretty decent. This is the toughest opponent the Chiefs have faced so far.

Prediction: 35-24 Eagles

Re: Worst to First - Kansas City Chiefs (Madden25 CFM)

Charles breaks the single game rushing record, Chiefs W49-39

Another win for Kansas City, as they now have surpassed their total of last year and they sit at 3-0 in their division, after defeating the Eagles in a game where Jamaal Charles became the first runningback in NFL history to run for more than 300 yards in a single game.

The Eagles put up the first points on the board with a run by Leasean McCoy, who also had an incredible game rushing for 172 yards. The Chiefs then took the ball and tied the game with a pass to Charles. Near the beginning of the second quarter, the Eagles scored again: McCoy caught a screen pass and took it in the endzone. Kansas City answered immediatly with a 74-yard run by Charles on the first play of the drive. From there, Philadelphia seemed to have taken control, stopping the Chiefs two times and scoring first with a field goal by Caleb Sturgis and then with a 7-yard scramble by Michael Vick. With just a few seconds on the clock, the away team was trying to get in field goal range, until wide receiver Dexter McCluster broke free from the coverage and Alex Smith hit him with a perfect pass in the endzone to conclude the first half.

Then, just like in the Cowboys game, it began: the Eagles were shut down in the 3rd quarter while the Chiefs scored 3 times (a pass to Dwayne Bowe and two runs by Charles) gaining a huge lead. Philadelphia tried coming back in the last quarter, but even after two touchdowns they couldn't and, just to add insult to injury, as the Chiefs were running down the clock to get themselves the win, Jamaal Charles broke an 84-yard run on 3rd down, scoring another touchdown and making history!

Game Notes
Second game in a row against an NFC East team. This time the Chiefs will face the younger Manning brother, Eli, who will try to lead his Giants to victory, even though he's struggling this season, throwing for only one touchdown against three interception and completing only 41% of his passes. The linebacking corp is nice because they have speed, but nothing too special. The Giants also seem to have a problem getting to the quarterback, as they only recorded one sack all season. Look out for Victor Cruz, who will definitely try to burn Kansas City's not so fast cornerbacks with his speed.

Prediction: 30-27 Chiefs

Re: Worst to First - Kansas City Chiefs (Madden25 CFM)

Not so fast?! Chiefs' secondary dominates New York, W52-28

The Giants got destroyed today in Kansas City giving the home time the forth win of the season. The defense finally came through in the redzone and forced six turnovers which put the team in an easy position to win the game.

First drive of the game the Giants had the ball and on his first pass Eli Manning threw an interception right into the hands of cornerback Brandon Flowers who took it back 61 yards to the house. The Giants will then try again, forced to pass the ball after the Chiefs' front seven nullyfied second-year runningback David Wilson, getting in the endzone, where safety Kendrick Lewis picked off another of Manning's passes.
Kansas City will relay on their star runningback Jamaal Charles, driving down the field and scoring with a short run. As if it wasn't already enough, wide receiver Vicotr Cruz fumbled the ball in the endzone, giving again the ball back to the home time. Here Alex Smith threw his first interception of the season, throwing to an apparently wide open Dwayne Bowe but getting picked off by Prince Amukamara.

Smith will throw another interception later in the game, again aiming for Bowe, but that was more an attempt to increase their lead than a bad read or throw. The Giants finally found the endzone with Hakeem Nicks, a score that will be matched a couple of minutes later by a pass in the endzone to Charles. The 3rd quarter started with Dexter McCluster fumbling the ball during the return and fullback Henri Hynoski taking it back for a touchdown. The same McCluster than ran 97 yards on the next return, answering right back.

Smith threw two other touchdown, one to tigh end Anthony Fasano and the other one to Charles again. Manning then threw another pick six, this time to Sean Smith, and the backups of the Chiefs entered onto the field. The two touchdowns that New York scored in the 4th quarter were meaningless, and Ryan Succop finally put an end to the game with a 35-yard field goal.
