Maryland seems to be the monkey in your back so far. Hopefully you can change that next year!

Re: Duty, Honor, Country - An Army Dynasty

It's that time once again, Commander-in-Chief's trophy battle between Air Force and Army. With both teams beating Navy already this season it all comes down to this game at Michie Stadium. Army have won the last 2 years and will look to make the winning a habit and bring the trophy home for the 3rd time in a row.

As you would expect, both teams are in the top 10 for rush yards as Army has 2072 and Air Force is not far behind with 1863. Both also rank in the last 3 teams for passing attack. With very little to separate the teams the different may come in the red-zone where Army are one of the most consitent teams for red-zone scoring at 88% compared to 65% for Air Force.

In start contrast on the defensive side of the ball, Army has one of the best rush defenses in the country where Air Force has the 4th best pass defense. Air Force has allowed 400 yards less so far this season and will be looking to hold Army back, although with only a mid range rush defense rating, Army may gain yards on the ground. Both teams allow around 70% red-zone scoring and both are in the negative on turnover differential.

A real battle looks to be coming, it may be a case of who wants it more.

I can't see us beating them for 2 or 3 seasons, the gap in talent is so huge at the minute and I really don't have a replacement for Steelman to make the offense really click again. Really should have lost that game by 30-40 points, I don't know what happened as I couldn't touch them in the 1st quarter, couldn't even get close.

At least you get to keep dominance among the military academies!

Solid victory over AF for the trophy. 6 completions for 148 yards...the deep ball was in full effect!

Apologies for 3 games at once, I got a long way behind so had to try and catch up ready for the bowl game and off-season reporting.
