Maryland, as I expected held on and once we lost to them, the chances of playing for the Championship were slim. We did finish a very creditable second overall which is a huge achievement and will be very tough to do again for a few more seasons. Kentucky and West Virginia fought for the West title and Kentucky, in their first season in the Big East take it and will face Maryland for the championship. Navy might be the biggest surprise, finishing 5th overall and UConn, despite a strong team finish dead last.

With 9 teams that can go to bowl games but no teams ranked in the Top 25, there really is very little love for the Big East. Hopefully with some big bowl game wins, can get some teams ranked and ready for the 2013 season.

Heisman Race - Pre-Conference Championship Stats

With some strong competition from mainly running backs, has Trent Steelman done enough to take an un-ranked team who haven't won their division to a Heisman? Are there too many questions without answers, or has he done enough for the voters to forget everything surrounding the candidates, and to look at the numbers?

Strong ending to the year. Way to own air force for the Commander in Cheif trophy! The absolute trampling of UCONN should send you into bowl season with high hopes.

Ps...that wake forest game...sweating bullets at the end lol

Have to love winning the Commandeer in Chiefs Trophy, something Army might not do in real life for a while unfortunately. UConn just didn't change to stop the passing attack until it was too late otherwise I feel they would have stuffed the run big time. In the end Steelman was a better passer than I thought.

That Wake Forest Game, oh man oh man. I couldn't stop them on the drive for love nor money and was convinced the AI had gone into the we will win at all costs mode! I thought I had lost it when the pass was thrown, could see the guy was wide open, I mean there wasn't a guy within 5 meters of him. I was about ready to launch the controller across the room.... They were really unlucky!

I know, did make me laugh he won the Heisman but didn't even make it to the NCAA 1st/2nd Team or Big East 1st Team. I guess the logic for the computer working them out is the best stats by position, which he didn't have for either QB or RB.

On a side note, Navy actually had the best RB in the game with over 2,000 yards and 21 touchdowns.
