Re: The Rise

Nice dynasty going on here. Love all the name-doppelgangers--Ahmad Bradshaw, C(h)ris Carter and Edgar [Allan] Poe, lol.

Something about the sand and black color combo looks really nice for their uniforms.

Also, really impressed with your game recaps being neither too long nor too short. They look great and you have found the art of putting in just about the right amount of info (something I still struggle with).

Here's to hoping you beat Navy again in a few weeks.

Our defense has struggled much more than last year (it's probably because it's not being supersimmed most of the time now - now it's not at all) - I feel like us and BYU could be a shootout.

Yeah, when I first looked over this roster, I was like what an interesting team of names. Edgar Poe was/is really Edgar Allen in RL. Unfortunately, his brother who also plays WR hasn't made much impact here.

Thanks, I try to keep my reports simple to read but also simple to make.

Re: The Rise

Looking good bro - I was surprised to see just how long it had been since I chimed in. Man does time seem to fly by these days.

You got Army rolling...hated to see the letdown game versus Notre Dame but you won the all-important matchup with Navy. Great stuff, and it foreshadowed the real life upset this past season. Hell of a finish with the bowl game win, congrats.

That fullback, David Poreda, looks like a beast and could be a centerpiece for your offense and its style of play in the near-future.

D'oh, looks like on the next page, the "near-future" has become "now."

It's been an up and down season for sure, but looks like Poreda has been a key catalyst as of late.

Fantastic work here my friend!

Yeah, I struggle all the time with article lengths. I love playing close games, but I tend to fall into the trap of wanting to write about everything that happened. I've gotten into the habit of jotting down notes of things that transpire during games, and I think that's added a lot to data that's probably not really needed, so I may have to tone that down.

The blowouts are no fun, but they're usually a bit of a relief for me, because it means I can get away with a much-shorter recap.

Re: The Rise

Nice! dominant win against BYU. I love when one of my DBs has a great day. It hasn't happened in awhile

BYU has a beautiful stadium. Utah, in general, is incredibly beautiful.

Re: The Rise

Great win over BYU. Can't ask for too much more from your defense in a game when they force turnovers and force field goals in the Redzone. Bradshaw with another nice performance.
