Tough start man, but I am sure you'll get this thing turned around. Your fans and A.D. will hopefully stay patient despite all the early blowouts.

Believe me, my eyes got big when he started 10 for 10. I put so much focus on Fournette going into this game and held him to 40 yards in the first half, then halftime ended and he chopped us up. Partially my fault for scheduling some pretty good non-conference teams, I have confidence that we can whoop on the conference guys. Losing my starting Senior RB dented my plans and the backups are not nearly as good.

Turn in a solid season and those recruits will come in season 2. Getting those 3 star kids from LA and TX can go along way in the building of a great chise.
I sure hope so, I have a 4 star WR that made us his first choice for some reason, but if he commits, he's a 4 year starter right away.

I love the tough schedule. It should have you very well prepped for the weaker opponents in conference.

Game Notes
The Cajuns finally get their first legitimate chance at winning a game. The Cajuns started their year 0-3 vs a tough opening schedule. While Akron may not be a easy game, it is definitely their first chance to prove themselves on the season. Both teams are missing key offensive starters (McGuire and Woodson).

Re: Down in The Bayou | UL Lafayette Ragin Cajuns Dynasty (NCAA14)

Bye Week Season Overview
5 Weeks into the season and the Cajuns find themselves sitting at a sultry 1-3. Granted that the Cajuns first 3 weeks of the season were loaded with great teams (Arkansas,Kansas State, and #4 LSU). Eventually they managed to break through against Akron in week 4, giving the team its season high in Points and Turnovers forced.

Through 5 weeks we have seen some major ups and downs with ULL's offense and defense. On offense, Senior QB Anthony Jennings (61/99, 691 Yards, 3 TDs, 7 INTs) has started this season extremely and hopefully can take his performance against Akron into the rest of the season.

The Cajuns don't need any added problems for the offense especially with Senior HB McGuire going down in week 1. His backups Darius Nixon (31 Att, 151 Yards) and Jalen Nixon (36 Att, 92 Yards, 3 TDs) have not shown that the two of them can handle the void that McGuire's injury left.

On the outside we have Senior WR Duo of Al Riles (12 Rec, 173 Yards) and Devin Scott (12 Rec, 184 Yards, 2 TDs). Both have shown that when Jennings can get them the ball, they can be dangerous. With improved QB play, both of them can destroy the opposing teams pass coverage and open the game up.

Up front we have the Offensive Line who have given up 10 sacks in the first 4 games and even more hurries. RT Grant Horst has given up 3 of the 10 sacks and continues to get beat on the outside. With Grant being one of the only choices at RT, the Cajuns have to continue to push through the season with him as the first option.

This years Defense has shown flashes of greatness under the new 15 Defense, but most of the time have shown to be below average. Through 4 games they have given up over 1600 total yards (1000 Passing, 600 Rushing). While on the other hand, they have 15 Sacks and 5 Interceptions. Leading the team in Tackles is Junior OLB Tracy Walker with 31 Tackles and 4 Sacks, right behind him is SS/OLB Savion Brown with 24 Tackles and 2 Sacks.

On the outside, we have Junior CB Troy McCollum who grabbed 3 Interceptions and 1 TD vs Akron, which brings his season totals to 4 Interceptions. He was never expected to start the season out like this, but Coach Robinson is ecstatic with his play, quoted saying "Troy is playing great so far, he works hard during practice and continues to show that he can lockdown his side of the field on his best days".

Defensive Captain Otha Peters has not lived up to being awarded the #15 Role this year (19 Tackles, 1 Sack). While he's not the fastest LB on the team, he just isn't getting to the ball as fast as he was the year before.

Re: Down in The Bayou | UL Lafayette Ragin Cajuns Dynasty (NCAA14)

Bye Week Recruiting Update
This years recruiting class is both up and down. The Cajuns are seemingly in the lead for 4-Star WR Kyle Lott from St.Martinville, LA. If he commits to the Cajuns, he will surely be a starter. His blazing speed and terrific Route Running makes him dangerous and he will be problem for opposing defenses at the next level. At 6'0, 180 lbs Lott has gotten interest from Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and Baylor, but his only scholarship offer is from ULL.

Coach Robinson has also shown major interest in 3-Star ATH Micheal Johnson from Newport,AR. Coming in at 6'4, 197 lbs, Johnson has played most of his snaps at QB, while occasionally playing at HB,WR, and Returner. So far his only Scholarship offers are from ULL and Arkansas State.

Last on the list for this bye weeks recruiting update is JUCO 1-Star ATH Randall McKenzie out of Fairview,TN. McKenzie is able to play both sides of the ball, on offense he can play under the center or behind the QB. While on defense, he can play the Corner or Free Safety position.
Scheduled Visits

Kyle Lott (4 Star, WR)-Week 12
Jack Banks (2 Star, G)-Week 12
Micheal Johnson (3 Star, ATH)-Week 12
Randall McKenzie (1 Star, ATH)-Week 12
Eric Reed (3 Star, DT)-Week 12
Reggie Coley (3 Star, OLB)-Week 12
Dan Stewart (3 Star, CB)-Week 12
Nic Turner (2 Star, CB)-Week 12
Victor Jones (1 Star, FB)-Week 12
Dwight Blanchard (2 Star, WR)-Week 12
