Down in The Bayou | UL Lafayette Ragin Cajuns Dynasty (NCAA14)

Introduction

I’ve been on this website since I was around the tender age of 12, lurking, using the rosters and slider sets people put on the site. I’ve been doing my own personal franchises as far as I can remember trying to create dynasties where my teams would win for years into the future. A few times on here when I was younger, I posted my franchises but could never get proper traction, mainly due to the fact that my computer was in my living room and my Xbox was in my room.

But now here I am again with another chise’, this time I wanna make it count and really get deep into it. I welcome you to the Ragin Cajun’s rebuilding!

Ragin Cajuns Hire David Robinson III as the New Head Coach

Athletic Director Scott Farmer has announced today the new head coach of the Cajuns. Relatively Unknown to the Cajun fanbase, but well known to those who follow High School football closely. New Head Coach David Robinson III, previously the Head Coach of Bishop Gorman High School. He gained traction by winning the State Championship 7 consecutive times. Not much is expected of the new coach, as he has not coached a college team before.

New Offense and Defense Unveiled at Cajuns Practice
Offensive Breakdown:

Coach Robinson has decided to bring over his famed offense from his High School coaching days, the Force One. The offense is deemed a similar copy of the Alabama Offense ran by Saban. Many thought that Robinson would switch his playstyle due to the Cajuns lack of a stellar Offensive Line and a Power Back to hit the holes hard. Senior RB Elijah McGuire is leading the RBs this year for the Cajuns, he doesn’t fit Robinsons natural bill for his RBs, but he will do as Robinson brings in his own players. Handing the ball off to McGuire this year is Senior QB Anthony Jennings, Jennings will have a limited role in the team as the focus will be on running the ball. But he will expected to toss a few passes this year.

Defensive Breakdown: 15 Defense (3-3-5)

This defense coming into this season is below average and Robinson will definitely have his work cut out for him as he puts them into a new defensive scheme. His new scheme, known as the “15” Defense is developed to make opposing teams think twice about running the ball. The defense plays 3 safeties, 1 Free Safety and 2 Strong Safeties that act as occasional Linebackers in the box. Now the “15” comes from the leader of the defense who will wear the number. This years “15” is Senior LB Otha Peters. He will be relied for on the fly calls on defense and will be an integral cog in defending the run.
