BYE Week Recruiting Update
This BYE Week see's 3 recruits commit to the Cajuns; 4 Star WR Kyle Lott, 1 Star ATH Randall McKenzie, and 2 Star G Jack Banks.

The Cajuns also have another 4 Star WR on the board. Roosevelt Weber, who is 6'5, 216 lbs. Weber has great size on the outside which is something the team currently lacks. But size may be one of Weber's only strengths. He isn't a great route runner, nor does he have great hands. He is decently speedy (4.48 40) but doesn't offer much else. He will quite likely be redshirted if he commits to the team. Currently ULL is the only team to offer him a scholarship.

Next on the list is 3 Star CB Dan Stewart out of Bogalusa, LA. Stewart is a work in progress at CB, but has all of the tools to reach the top. He has great speed (4.42 40) and he can play man to man or in zone. His main downside is his pitiful tackling ability. Another negative to his game is that Stewart couldn't press toast into a toaster if he tried and is better off backing off of his assignment.

The last recruit on this BYE Weeks list is 3 Star MLB Brent McCall out of Bossier City, LA. Listed at 6'3, 238 lbs. McCall is a physical specimen at MLB possessing great speed and strength in the middle. But once again, another potential signee for the Cajuns lacks technical ability. His tackling ability is below average and his reaction time is poor. In Coverage he is a liability. He does have the potential to be a great pass rusher using his strength or speed to get past blockers. Will most likely be redshirted and moved to the OLB position.

BYE Week Recruiting Update
With back to back BYE Weeks we have another update underway. This week gives us 2 new commits with 3 Star CB Dan Stewart and 2 Star CB Nic Turner.

This weeks spotlight goes to 2 Star OLB Rodney Lewis out of Morgan City, LA. At 6'1, 233 lbs, Lewis has the potential to be a above average player. He has decent speed, isn't the strongest, can't jump the highest, and isn't the most agile. He's a average tackler and can react to the play quicker than most. If he's thrown into zone coverage, he can handle it just fine, but isn't going to blow the socks off anyone.

Next on the spotlight is 1 Star FB Victor Jones out of Forrest Hill, TX.At 6'1, 248. This recruit is the most baffling of the group. Coach Robinson's offensive scheme doesn't involve the use of a Fullback in most situations (barring goal line formations). Jones can block out of the backfield, but isn't going to block someone out of there socks. Out of the backfield he has stone hands and won't be hauling in passes. Still one of the most confusing and baffling recruits on the board this week.

Way to get on the winning side of things the last 2 games. On the Recruiting trail coach is doing some nice work. If you can pull 2 4-stars in the first class this could spell trouble for the rest of the Sun Belt

Not So Spicy Cajuns Look To Regain Confidence Vs Troy

Matchup Preview *|* November 7,
@
Troy Trojans
(3-6, Away)
Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns
(2-5, Home)
Injury Report
Elijah McGuire
Torn Shoulder-Questionable

Otha Peters
Upper Arm Fracture-9 Weeks

Game Notes
ULL was embarrassed last week vs New Mexico State. This week they face the 3-6 Troy, who they are evenly matched with. Coach Robinson will have to win or lose by a close margin to be in the running to keep his job for multiple seasons. His recruiting is helping, but more needs to be done for the rest of this season and the next.
