After a rough loss to the Chiefs in Week 1, the Chargers hoped that their home opener at Qualcomm Stadium would be better. Unfortunately, the Chargers, and their fans, went home with another nasty taste in their mouths.

Once again, the offense struggled to move the ball consistently, with Melvin Gordon constantly being stuffed at the line of scrimmage (1.5 YPC this week, 2.4 YPC in Week 1).

Phillip Rivers was turnover-prone once again, throwing three interceptions to bring his season totals to a whopping eight through two weeks. His second (the third came on a last second Hail Mary) came with the Chargers backed up inside their own 5 yard line with a chance to tie the game with a touchdown. But, Dwayne Gratz picked off Rivers and had to run all of one yard to make it a pick-six, effectively putting the game on ice.

One bright spot from this beautiful San Diego afternoon was the Chargers defense, which notched three sacks of Jaguars QB Blake Bortles and picked off their first two passes of the season.

Re: Beginnings And Endings: A Madden NFL 17 Chargers Franchise

A Quick Note About Sliders

One reason for the overall wonkiness of the first two games has been me not updating my Armor & Sword slider set to correspond with patches and tuners. I updated my sliders after the game against the Jaguars and vow to be more on top of things in the future. I apologize for not being so before.

Re: Beginnings And Endings: A Madden NFL 17 Chargers Franchise

A Quick Note About My Draft Class

For my CFM's 2017 NFL Draft class i've decided to assign a real life prospect for each and every player (down to projected UFA's). I've done this using a combination of player type and projected draft position (decided upon using a combination of Walter Football and CBS Sports) and have been keeping track of everything with a Google Sheet. After the draft I'll change each player's personal information and appearance, but will leave all ratings alone. I'm unsure if I'll do this for future draft classes. Me having to dedicate a lot of time to doing all of this may cause my posting to become rather sporadic over the coming weeks.
