With the bye week we have moved a couple weeks ahead with the recruitment. Most of the dreamers (4 star) have said the Hounds are not where they want to be and a good chunk of the 3 star guys have said the same.

With that said 4 star CB Sean Douglas seems to be taking note and we have moved to be a top destination right now, but low bonus points could hurt us if big teams come in later. Top 3 star targets TE Joseph Campbell and MLB Lance Haynes seem to be heading our way, with 3 star OG Travis McCarty starting to take note. We went hard after FB Randy Gay....(That name may have to go) and looks like we could get him committed soon and doing well with 1 and 2 star prospects to date.

Well I did not expect this! Glad its not just me who struggles with a freshman qb on the road. I'll be shocked if Tennessee are in the top 25 at the end of the season, think they might struggle!

We feel very confident in landing FB Randy Gay shortly, he really wants to be a Hound. We are definitely in a battle for our target TE Joseph Campbell, but with another couple of schools interested, when visits start to happen things could change quickly. We keep working on him heavily each week.

3 Star tackle Terrance Ross and Guard Travis McCarty seem to be coming around to the idea of playing for us, however we seem to be high in the running for several 1 or 2 star prospects. We have a good history of turning these guys into starters and we have only ever landed one 3 star offensive lineman. Definitely need to re-visit this over the next few weeks and slim these down to the 3 or 4 guys we want to take. Especially now 2 star Centre James Randle has done a 360 on us, was high on other schools but now we are firmly in the lead despite the limited time we have to go out to West PA.

MLB Lance Hayes is one we are confident in and also kicker Sam Allen. We are really struggling to get anywhere with anyone on the defensive line apart from late addition DT Jeremy Murray who we are following now.

Interestingly, still in contention for 2 x 4 star Corners. We are dreaming we can keep them hot but its only a matter of time before other schools come in.... surely.

Finally, we have decided to go after 3 star QB Kevin Washington. He doesn't really fit the mold of what we like, but after seeing Wayne go down for half a season, having a 4 (or 5) year guy over bringing in two JUCO's seems to make a lot of sense.

Well we signed the first guy for the 2019 class, 1 star FB Randy Gay. Definitely could be a big signing as looks to have all the tools to be a big player for us. The push to go after QB Kevin Washington seems to have worked as we move to the top of his list.

No other major announcements, everything is looking good so far, got a huge game when we host Rice as there will be many of these guys in attendance and looking to gain some commitments.

Well.... that was a crazy 4th quarter. Never had 3 interceptions in a game let alone in one quarter. After I got to 80, kinda had to stop was just getting silly....
