Re: Fight On! A USC Dynasty

Wittek, Lee's Monster Games Lead Trojans to Victory In 59-41 Shootout

Things looked bleak for the Trojans as Max Wittek followed up a Trojan TD by throwing a pick 6 to a blanket covered Silas Redd. He then remembered he had one of the best wideouts in the entire country: Marqise Lee.

"Lee really is something special. He makes huge plays and really bails me out when I need him to." said Trojan QB Max Wittek. "I don't think there's a single team in the country that can put only one guy on him and think Marqise isn't going to get his."

Although a bold statement, their numbers sure did backup Wittek's words today in Arizona. Wittek connected to Lee 9 times, for a whopping 243 yards, and 3 touchdowns. Wittek would end the day throwing 25 completions for 422 yards, and 6 touchdowns.

Arizona State did put up a fight however, as they had seemed ready to go blow for blow with USC's supercharged offense. Two costly turnovers in the redzone was their demise however, as the USC defense forced both a fumble and an interception, the pick coming in the Trojan endzone. USC would lead scoring drives following both turnovers.

Silas Redd had left the game early in the 1st quarter with what looked to be a banged up shoulder. He returned later in the 3rd quarter, and finished the day with over 100 rushing yards.

Re: Fight On! A USC Dynasty

Back when it seemed like Lee was bound to be a first-round pick. And 25-of-30 for Wittek!

How are FAU and Cuse doing? If they have a combined three wins between them at this time, this really is a parallel universe.

FAU is actually 2-3 with wins coming over USF and a blowout victory over Rice, both on the road! They did lose 41-7 in Miami to open the season though.

As for Cuse their only loss of the season so far is a 45-42 OT loss to PSU, I think they are 3-1

Will Star WR Marqise Lee Enter The 2014 NFL Draft?

Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA -- Trojans Junior WR Marqise Lee was a pre-season All American, and has so far lived up to the hype. Already a household name amongst USC fans everywhere, Lee has taken the USC offense to another level. In only 4 games this season, Lee has 32 receptions, 606 yards, and 7 touchdowns. He is currently 4th in the nation in receptions, 5th in touchdowns, and 1st in yards per game (150).

"I haven't given much thought about what happens after the season at all honestly" said Lee when asked. "I'm taking this season one week at a time, trying to give it my all for Couch Kiffin and my teamates."

Marqise Lee is the #1 ranked WR if he does declare for the NFL draft, according to Mel Kiper JR., just ahead of Clemson WR Sammy Watkins, who is having somewhat of a down year.

Game Notes
Arizona is coming into USC Stadium after a bye week without their starting quarterback, who was hurt in a 2 week old victory over Washington. They will have to rely on the arm of SR B.J. Denker, who completed only 40% of his passes last game. They are also going up against a healthy offense that many consider as the best in the country, the same offense that is coming off of a bye week. Some say that this may be a trap game for USC as they head to ND next week, but we argue that ND has all but given up at this point (unranked 2-4). With a backup QB, and having to rely on a run game going up against the number 1 ranked run defense in the nation, we think USC improves to 5-0 on the year and 3-0 in the conference.

Final score: USC 45 - Arizona 21
