Another good win, but man your backfield is already getting hit hard by the injury bug. Hopefully foreman is back soon.
Talk about a good start to the year, 3-0 and a division win is a HUGE jump start!
It's unreal how often my backfield gets banged up. I'd hate to adjust the injury slider just because my guys are getting hurt but we will see. Foreman isn't expected to miss any time so that's a positive.
Huge start to the season and a division win is always good to have in the back pocket as well. We also played all three games at home so now the schedule will flip on us. Hopefully we can still play on the road.
Fresh off inking a new 4-year deal, Mike Gesicki was ready to prove he was worth the contract extension the Dolphins gave him.
DeVante Parker secures a low pass over the middle and braces for a hit that would never come as he gets the scoring started.
Number one overall pick Kris Reuber from UCLA was dealing early. With the Mitchell Trubisky era over and done with in just two short seasons, Chicago has seemingly found it's new franchise QB.
Just three carries was all it took for Jordan Howard to exit the game. This would be a blessing in disguise for Chicago this game.
His backup Tarik Cohen came in and was instant offense as he was jumping and scooting around his blocks and gobbling up yards. On the first drive with Howard out, Cohen found pay dirt in just two plays.
Oh, and on his next carry he ripped off a 53-yard run for his second score in as many drives.
Kenny Stills makes a big grab on 3rd down deep down the middle of the field in front of the safety.
It never gets old watching D'Onta Foreman pummeling his way through defenders.
Kenny Stills gets open as Ryan Tannehill extends the play with his legs and grabs a tying touchdown for his team late in the first half.
Not to be outdone, Kris Reuber delivers a touchdown strike to a wide open Allen Robinson before the half as well.
Second year linebacker Roquan Smith uses his incredible athleticism to drop into coverage and get his paws on this Tannehill pass.
Foreman celebrates his touchdown as he catches his breath lying on the turf.
Charles Harris gets the first of three consecutive sacks for the Dolphins as the defense started to turn the tide in their favor.
As the receiver stumbles out of his break, Callahan jumps the route and runs it back untouched for a score.
Needing to make up for his mistakes, Tannehill takes off and scores with his legs as he dives into the end zone for another rushing touchdown.
Minkah Fitzpatrick ends the game with this interception, pushing his team's record to 4-0 on the young season.
Another good win, the first quarter of the season has been good to Miami. Tannehill is still having issues, but may be serviceable for the year at minimum.
CHI - With Mitchell Trubisky throwing for just 2,907 yards and 11 TDs in his sophomore season, to go along with 17 interceptions and winning just one game, the Bears decided to use the 1st overall pick on a quarterback to hit the reset button. Enter: Kris Reuber. The 6'4" signal caller from UCLA has hit the ground running as he currently leads the league in passing yards. His cannon arm and to go along with great mobility in and out of the pocket and accuracy to all depths of the field, it seems like Chicago has finally found their man.
BUF - Josh Allen looked great in his rookie season in 2018, throwing for 3,290 yards, 26 TDs and 9 INTs. He looks to be on track for an equally impressive seaons with a current stat line of 707/6/2 after just three games. His biggest knock coming into the league was his accuracy. While he hit on just 60% of his throws as a rookie, he has upped it to 68% to go along with a great YPA (8.0 to 9.2).
CLE - Baker Mayfield took over very late in his rookie season but responded by connecting on 70% of his passes for 514 yards and six touchdowns while avoiding throwing any interceptions. Now the full time starter, he has begun the season with 690/3/1, though his completion percentage has taken a small hit. He's showing great growth already in just a little more than one season and should be in Cleveland for quite a long time.
ARI - Josh Rosen played sparingly as a rookie but finished with 1,670/14/7 for a stat line. His start to his second season isn't too different as he sports a line of 869/3/2 with the same COMP% (61%). He's got a young receiver in Christian Kirk to build with, the Cardinals added tight end Cameron Brate (89 OVR) in the off season and still have the ageless Larry Fitzgerald. Once the Hall of Fame receiver retires, this team could desperately use another weapon on the outside.
LAC - The defending Super Bowl champions are still rolling with their franchise's greatest QB in Philip Rivers, but they did spend their first round pick on Bradford Vallos out of Auburn. As expected, he hasn't seen the field yet but he should be able to develop in a "red shirt" season while the Chargers look to repeat.
KC - Patrick Mahomes got the starting job last year and threw for 3,489 yards, but the TD/INT ratio was at 20/21. Never a good thing for your team when you turn it over more than you score. Unfortunately, it looks like more of the same for the gunslinger from Texas Tech as he's got a line of 1,062/6/6 to start and is still under 60% completion, just as he was in his rookie season. If he doesn't clean it up, will the Chiefs look to go elsewhere at the QB position?
SF - While not a young QB, Jimmy Garoppolo had his first full season as a starter as a member of the 49ers. His numbers were 3,304/18/14 while completing just 56% of his passes. While he signed for much less than he did in real life, he needs to show a ton of improvement to be considered a franchise guy. So far he's got 844 yards, two TDs and 4 INTs to start this season. Is Jimmy G going to be a bust?
NYG - The Giants signed Drew Brees to take over for Eli Manning (who is still on the roster) on a 1-year deal, but they also used their first round pick on the heir apparent Duncan Corner. The former Ohio State Buckeye has completed his only pass this season for 15 yards but clearly shows signs of having great potential when Brees and Manning are gone. The mobile QB has great speed and uses the RPO to get outside the box to threaten the defense with either his legs or his arm.
NYJ - Sam Darnold didn't play much as a rookie but is now the starter in his second season and it has been a struggle. Completing 59% of his passes for 934 yards, 4 TD and 6 INT, will the Jets turn to Teddy Bridgewater to right the ship?
BAL - Lamar Jackson quickly took the starting job last season from Joe Flacco and looked tremendous! His rookie stat line was 3,288/24/15 to go with 192 rushing yards and 2 scores on the ground. He entered this season as the starter but suffered a back injury in Week 1 and will be out until about Week 10 or 11. A bright future but will the mobile QB be able to stay on the field regularly?
NO - Morgan Alleman has the tall task of replacing Drew Brees in New Orleans and he's done better than expected. He's 5th in the league in passing yards with 1,094, but he's got 4 TDs and 5 INTs to start. Expect Sean Payton to continue to work with the young signal caller from Tennessee and utilize his cannon arm to go with his great deep accuracy.
PIT - The Steelers have three younger QBs on their roster but the only first round pick was Jerry Rideau from Miami. The QB with quick dev has seen the field due to injury to Roethlisberger and has shown why the Steelers are happy to have him. His pinpoint short accuracy Has allowed him to his on two-thirds of his passes for 319 yards, 3 TD and 2 INT. After drafting QBs to groom behind Big Ben (Landry Jones, Joshua Dobbs, Mason Rudolph) it seems like Pittsburgh has finally found their next guy.
HOU - Deshaun Watson has got all the physical ability you would look for in a superstar QB and he played phenomenal in his 2nd season. He finished with 3,640/21/14 and is currently sitting at 1,169/7/5 in his 3rd year. If he cleans up the interceptions and can up the accuracy numbers (58% completion this year) he will be dominant with his arm and legs.
Another good win, the first quarter of the season has been good to Miami. Tannehill is still having issues, but may be serviceable for the year at minimum.
We have played pretty well to start the year though again having three home games definitely helps. I think we are just barely skating by with our offense and unless we find a consistent run game we will struggle to score some points by relying on Tannehill to throw it all game long.
