Fleck: “Defense.”

MM: “Defense? I’m not sure I understand?”

Fleck: "Neither do I, I specifically remember having a starting defense, but it seems I may have gotten confused and left them back in Kalamazoo.”

MM: “Sorry Coach Fleck, you did start a defense, they were out there against the Wildcats.”

Fleck: “Oh they were? Could have fooled me with 61 points on the board.”

Coach Fleck holds a small press conference

Due to Dareyon's injury, Brian will be starting. I also feel his style of running, which is between the gaps, fits what I am trying to accomplish at the moment so he will remain the starter after this week. When Dareyon feels healthy, and since he is the most agile of the running back core, we will use him on sweeps and stretches to the outside, which he excels at.

I also wanted to address our receivers and the starting lineup. Our Sophomores Jaime Wilson, Daniel Braverman, and Justin Ferguson have been doing well backing up the seniors. Of course, Jaime starts but I am going to start trying to incorporate Daniel and Justin in more. From here on or until proven otherwise the lineups for WR will be Schaffer, Wilson, Collins, Braverman, and Ferguson.

At the moment, as you can clearly tell by our defensive numbers, we are not performing up to the standards I have set. If this continues into conference play i will have to make some tough decisions.
