#1 North Carolina (12-0, OVR 91) vs #2 Michigan (11-1, OVR 88)

• North Carolina is one win away from a perfect season and a National Championship
• ACC-Champion is strong favourite vs overperforming Michigan team

Texas Bowl
Kansas Jayhawks vs Penn St (Independent, 7-4, OVR 88)

• first Bowl appearance for the Jayhawks since 1981 season, last Bowl win in 1961 season
• matchup is rematch of 1968 Orange Bowl won by Penn St

1991 - Texas Bowl - Kansas Jayhawks vs Penn State 20-14

This game felt awfully cheesy and scripted right from the start. On my first drive I could run the ball at will and scored a TD, followed by a pick six to make it an early 14-0 lead. For the rest of the first half Penn St QB Sean Clifford put up ridiculous rushing numbers, while struggling in the turnover department (3 INT, 1 fumble lost) throughout the game.

On offense Kansas fell short by inches scoring TDs or reaching first downs on multiple drives.

In the 4th quarter Penn State hit the goal post on a FG try that would have tied the game (picture).

1992 season preview

Important conference changes:

• Florida State (Independent) joined the ACC
• Arkansas (SWC) and South Carolina (Independent) joined the SEC

Scheduling:

I try to play all opponents Kansas has played in the respective year. This year I couldn't find a date to play California - we'll play Arizona instead.

In the early seasons of this dynasty I will have to find a twelfth opponent each year, because Kansas has played only 11 games in most of these seasons.

In 1992 I picked BYU, because the Jayhawks have played them in the Aloha Bowl in that year.

Recruiting:

I won't be able to scout players until they didn't commit to my programme.

I gained Missouri as a 4th pipeline state, but I won't be allowed to recruit there anymore, once Missouri has left the Big 12. Only the starting pipelines Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas will remain pipeline states, no matter how the conference line up looks like.
