Is there much difference in the CPU batter AI on Legend? Do they chase more or less? I find them pretty tough overall on HOF. While I can keep them down for a while I find that most of the time they do get to me. On near default HOF they usually seem to punish mistakes. I see some chases out of the zone but most strikeouts are high or up and in. If they do address this I hope it is not overdone.

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
i would like to be able to convert my young talented closer into a starter. Maybe there could be some manager/player interaction where you can tell such things. of course with uncertain success, ranging from him becoming my future ace to him having a decline in attributes or an injury forcing me to put him back into the bullpen. Also being able to tell my young pitchers to work on adding another pitch to their arsenal would be great, or making my position players to learn new positions.Spending time with Jesus!

I want to see slide steps incorporated somehow into the game. Some guys have such slow deliveries from the stretch in this game (Verlander) that throwing out runners is impossible.JayElectronicaBluElzhi2PacTheNotoriousB.I.G.ReksSc arfaceFashawnJeruThaDamajaComment

Ye i agree, and quicker side steps too though, because in MLB 13 the Show, Kershaw has a side step out of the stretch, but it isn't nearly as quick as it is in real life.NFL : Atlanta Falcons

I wanna see players change positions as they get older. 3B to 1B SS to 3B C to 1B etc. etc. also becoming full time DH like Big Papi.Note to self: BUY MADDEN 12*

Speaking of DH, it would be nice to see that added as a position so that it would be easier to control American league lineup logic.Comment

This. In my RTTS i played SS for 9 years or something, then i signed with the Yankees, and they already had a young 99 overall SS, and i asked to be switched to 3B, where there was like a 70 overall player, and i got denied. I tried like 15 times and every time it was a no.NFL : Atlanta Falcons

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
I don't think having DH is such a good idea since David Ortiz is really the only true DH in baseball... I'd rather have the roster management screen revamped to something more depth chart-esque, maybe something like this?
I haven't played Madden since '05 and NBA 2K since '11 so my knowledge might be outdated - Do they still allow you to organize your depth charts where the order signifies starters and backups? Are you allowed to choose players out of position? That's basically what I want the Show to have, and having a dedicated DH spot in the depth chart would allow me to have a queue of DH's without having an actual DH position available.
I have the idea really fleshed out in my mind but its hard to put into words (would be much easier with pictures!), maybe I'll revisit this later...Bakin' soda, I got bakin' sodaComment

Ortiz is basically it...and the reasoning they have resisted putting a DH spot in as a position(I asked for it quite a few years ago) is that it would pretty much lock out NL teams from even looking at players designated as a DH(no pun intended) in terms of trades and roster building logic.
If they included looking at defensive ratings in building lineups...it would be a big step in the direction of funneling players into the DH spot IMO.

Not that I disagree with you guys though. Better roster management is the way to go, I just think that should include closers, and no CP position. It just seems like a double standard otherwise.Comment

Re: PS4 Discussion (MLB The Show 14)
Well I agree but... the exact same could be said about closing pitchers and Mariano Rivera. I mean how many closers has YOUR team had in the past 2 years? And conversely, how many years has your current closer been closing? Some guys try to be closers: Francisco Rodney, Jose Valverde, Bobby Parnell (before this season), and it doesnt even remotely work out. That position is really just as indefinite as the DH is
