Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Still considering giving it a little more time, but I am getting ZERO production from my Rays catchers Ryan Hanigan and Jose Molina. It's horrendous. Them and Yunel Escobar are pretty much the only regulars who aren't playing well at all. The defense is there, but the offense from those 3 is non-existent.
Any catcher suggestions?Comment

I'd target JJ Hardy. Good glove, some speed and nice pop
Give Cozart and Guillon in return?Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Spreadsheet calls for a Mid B + Mid C for Castro. Could you picture a trade centered around Hak-Ju?Last edited by Coper3000; 05-15-2014, 06:39 PM.Comment

Interesting. I will definitely look into Castro. I would consider leaving one of Hanigan or Molina as the backup and dropping the other one. Would like to have a lefty and righty catcher.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Mission Impossible. Realistically the Cubs aren't looking to move either. Fairness wise, one of Stanton or Fernandez would have to be included.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Realistically the Giants don't have the prospects to get Stanton, so adding Bum may not be realistic, but for fairness parting ways with their top two guys and Bum would make some sense. Maybe throwing Gary Brown back the other way as well. Getting another small piece from Miami.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Baez nor Bryant are worth Stanton or Fernandez value. How about Olt? Don't see him being there since Bryant will be taking over 3B role and Baez I'm guessing 2B.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Realism: No dice as the Cubs are huge on both. Not sure Theo would trade both to get Stanton. Also if the Marlins stay in the race they have no incentive to sell right now.
Fairness: Stanton would get you Baez, Bryant, Almora, Edwards, Alcantara/Villanueva (too much or too little?). Going off of the spreadsheet.
But back to answer your question, maybe Yelich, Marisnick, JT Realmuto for Baez? For Bryant see the package above ^^^
For Olt? Sheet says 2 low B's.
Again not sure if you're going for realism, if so won't happen. If you want to be fair Stanton could net you both, while Baez would be the only one you might be able to get without Stanton/Fernandez.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Realistically, getting Stanton or Fernandez would take a pile of top tier talent.
The Royals would probably have to give up Ventura/Zimmer/Mondesi and possibly a few other guys to entice the Marlins to even listen to them.
That's 3 of the top 35 prospects in baseball and I doubt it'd be enough.
Face it guys. If you want to be realistic about getting Stanton or Fernandez, it's going to take a lot or be downright impossible to make it true to life. Without those two guys, the Marlins won't have any fans showing up."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment
