    A half a season rental?

How are the Pirates' prospects doing?

even with volquez and liriano gone, i wouldnt see the pirates doing a deal for price. his cost is to much for them. i would project the pirates rotation to begin the next year as cole, morton, cumpton, locke, and a volquez/liriano risk reward signing with taillon and/or kingham coming up mid season

This. Besides, if we're being realistic, Taillon is shelved for the year anyway. This team did everything in it's power to keep from moving Kingham, Glasnow, and Taillon this past off season in deals, I don't think half a year of David Price would make them anymore flexible.

          Kingham AAA- 107 IP 63 SO/43 BB 1.48 WHIP 4.88 ERA

If the Pirates wouldn't trade for Price, the only other options I would have would be the Cubs or possibly the Dodgers. Would a trade match up better with either of those two teams? I am controlling the Cubs and I would trade for him if the price was reasonable.

Cubs could send maybe Almora/Soler and Vogelbach. Dodgers could send Seager and Lee.

Alright the Pirates fans definitely talked me out of sending him there. I will look at the Cubs and Dodgers trades. Thanks guys.

Out of contention in my Marlins year 1 'chise.

Rays lost Jose Molina for the year and could use Salty, and Im think I need some top prospects up the middle on my farm. Not a fan of what the Rays offer there, so could this 3 way trade be realistic:

                Rays Get
                Salty

                Padres Get
Taylor Guerrieri + Low C prospects

                Marlins Get
SS Jace Peterson + Low prospects
                Texas Longhorns
                Texas Rangers
                Dallas Cowboys
                Dallas Mavericks

On the spreadsheet he is listed at Mid A, Mid A, Low A , High B. There is many Mid A players that aren't top 50 prospects.

That's way too high. I've said this before, I'd go one mid A or a low A and high B at most.

So I know it's super early but had to restart my dodgers chise cause I started without the rosters. Being super early I know I have a huge hole at catcher at 3rd base. Any suggestions how to fill those holes. Catcher I think is the worst

Names like those two don't get traded that early

Nick Hundley if you're using an OD set, Jeff Keppinger, Martin Maldonado, Andrew Susac, Trevor Plouffe, Mike Moustakas, Freddy Galvis, Hank Conger, Tony Sanchez.

Actually, the best option for you is probably Jordan Pacheco. C, 3B, 1B utility guy. Just got outrighted so certainly realistic.

Any idea what would be a good value too move? Or should I ride it out and see what happens? Maybe being seager to the big league club and build his value

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

I decided to do a sim Minnesota Twins franchise to keep me busy whenever I get bored in my real franchise. I'm thinking about making two trades at the deadline

Joe Mauer to the Red Sox for Anthony Ranaudo, Henry Owens and Mookie Betts.

Miguel Sano to the Mets for Noah Syndergaard and Vic Black.

Pierzynski on the Red Sox was out for the year (injury) and a FA at the end of the year but they were in contention still. Mauer is hitting .306 with 8 HR. As for the Sano trade, I like building my franchises around pitching and the Twins have absolutely no pitching. The Mets on the other hand have lots of young pitching but not many good hitting prospects. I figure the Mets can move Sano to first since they still have no answer over there and I thought I could grab Black in the deal too because Syndergaard isn't quite the prospect Sano is. I know trading Sano isn't very realistic, but I already decided to trade him for a pitching prospect and this is the best/most realistic deal in my opinion.

I didn't complete any of these trades yet, I'm still looking for some feedback.

Currently sitting in first place with the brewers after month 1. The cards are right there behind me. Looking to dump Lohse still and I see the Rays have put Hellickson on the trading block. What do you guys think would be a fair offering for him? The Rays currently sit in last place in the East.
