Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Currently I have a lot of outfield prospects that need will need room for 2015 as 3 of them will be more than MLB ready next year plus I still have Quentin, Denorfia, Venable and Maybin. Infield is young and full at every position. I don't even have room fro Jace Peterson. Starting pitching is full too but my bullpen is doo doo. I traded Street and aside from Torres and Seigrist the rest of my bullpen has an ERA over 7.00.
So anywhere that needs Hedges and can offer strong bullpen help would be amazing. I really like Bastardo, Strop and Cook/Doolittle. Feliz, Caros Smith (SEA), Greg Holland and Robertson are also nice but idk how realistic they areLast edited by Friar Fanatic; 05-19-2014, 08:37 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Even though it may seem like the main piece for me is Biddle, I like Bastardo. If I move Hedges what I am mainly looking for is bullpen help, I don't care if it's a RP, a CL or a SP I can convert into a RP.

If you are looking at realism, however, Hedges would never be traded for bullpen depth outside of a closer with Kimbrel/Chapman type value.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Cubs would seem to be a really good fit. Strop and Rondon are solid relievers. James Russell is a solid lefty. Unfortunately Vizcaino and Neil Ramirez are rated horribly, or they could be options as well.

If I go for the Cubs I will probably do a 3 team trade with Hedges and Castro and the third piece being a solid closer or something.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Neither would I but there is no other way the O's would give Machado up.
Move Hedges to the OF with his defensive stats or move Ramos?
What do you think of the Royals as a fit if Perez/Hedges moved positions? Not sure what yet, just tossing out ideas.

I like the idea of a 3 team deal though. Maybe add the Mets as the 3rd team?Comment

I understand and you can do whatever you want but Hedges has a lot more value. It might be worth grabbing a prospect from the low minors so that they can be a future piece or a trade chip. Strop and Almora i think would be a better package you could even snag a lesser arm or shed an expensive player for salary reliefComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
The main pieces of the deal would look like this I think. Though additions to the deal need to be played with but all these teams would get Castro and give up:
Rays give up Moore
Royals give up Holland
Not sure who the Twins, Marlins, Mets and Pirates would give up but I'm sure something could work.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So in my Astros franchise, I need a backup first baseman.
What I would really like is a C/1B. Somebody that can replace Jason Castro one game and then Jon Singleton the next. Carlos Corporan is freaking horrible
The guy I'm thinking of is Jordan Pacheco from Colorado.
I'm thinking maybe something like Paul Clemens for Pacheco.
What do you guys think?Comment
