Willingham was a player I figured I would target, because I added Morales to the Twins and he is still in AAA where he is hitting .268 with 12 HR's so he would make for a nice replacement at the DH spot.

Also thought about trying to get Plouffe as well figuring he be a valuable utility guy for me playing the OF as well as the entire IF.

Right now in my Franchise, Sano is hitting .328 with 19 HR and 64 RBI in AA, but they also have E. Nunez who is hitting .293 with 7 HR, 33 RBI and 23 SB's in AAA

Willingham was a monster for me when I traded for him in 13. He'd be a solid pickup. Also, if your using 30 team control, call up Morales after to replace him.

Plouffe could be had for 2 High Cs. So all together, Willigham and Plouffe for 3 high Cs or a mid-low B, and High C.

Sano>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Nunez. If you have 30 team, call him up regardless of what Nunez is doing.

Running 30 team, went ahead and called up Morales and Nunez, moved Sano to AAA for the rest of the season figured he will be the starting 3B next year.

Here is the trade I made

          R. Elias (70/B) 4-5 with a 6.55 ERA at the MLB level
          A. Fernandez (69/C) 5 wins in AAA
          T. Wilhelmsen (79/C) 3-2 with a 4.42 ERA in 53 IP in Middle relief

but will move him to a setup role with Burton and add insurance for Perkins.

          for Willingham and Plouffe.

Overpay Potenial/Overall wise, underpay stat-wise. So it evens itself out. Even though I believe Elias should be a C POT.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

So after the Willingham/Plouffe deal, I would still like to acquire a CF and have decided to target Dexter Fowler.

I know that inter-division trades don't happen all the time, but the M's seem to do it often making deals with Texas multiple times as well as the Angels and A's.

              (80/B) Fowler (.273 6 HR 23 RBI 12 SB's)

              for

              (68/C) J. Morban-22 yr old CF who is #15 on the M's Top-20 board currently hitting .297 with 6 HR,24 RBI, and 5 SB's)

              (66/B) P. Kivlehan-24 yr old 3B who is #16 on the M's Top-20 board currently in AA hitting .239 with 4 HR,34 RBI and 5 SB's

Spreadsheet has 2 low B's for Fowler but I think Morban should be a B and should be a decent replacement for Fowler to or I could promote D. Santana who is the starting CF in AAA.

Kivlehan would likely become their AAA starter at 3B, as the Astros best 3B prospect is a 20 yr old in Single A.

Fowler isn't very realistic since the Astros just got him in a trade. Any other OFers you are interested in?

I honestly think the Astros would want more. Another B potential and you might be good.

I don't see this as realistic. I believe Fowler is valuable and underrated. You would need another B prospect to make it just fair. I would wait until the offseason to make it a little more realistic.

Maybe J. Dyson from the Royals. With them dealing for Akoi, he is stuck as the #4 OF.

or anyone else who fits the bill as a speedy CF. I like Fowler because he switch hits, well Dyson is a lefty, which I already have a bunch of in Jones,Saunders, Ackley.

I would go for L. Cain, but the Royals are just .5 game out of the Central behind the Tigers and I don't see them giving up their starting CF.

Another reason why I went with Fowler is he is only signed through 2015 and the Houston is in last place yet again, leaving me to think their future OF will be Springer and Santana but I guess Fowler is still young enough to fit in those plans as well.

Dyson is money. He might be the fastest player I've ever seen. I've always been curious about whether or not he could start though. Regardless, he'll hold his own as a 4th outfielder and I bet he's a serviceable starter.

I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

If you're looking for speedy, switch-hitting guys who can play CF, then Emilio Bonifacio of the Cubs and Trayvon Robinson of the Dodgers would be realistic and not all that expensive.

Of the many franchises I have, I have a KC one, and this guy, when used properly is a flat difference maker.

His drag bunt rating is through the roof, so with that speed, you can easily try to drop one a game and have a reasonable shot at getting to first.

And once he's on base, it's as good as a double. He doesn't get thrown out.

He's also won a few games for me as a pinch runner, so I'd say he's a huge asset to any team, even if he doesn't start. I think if you play him every day he hits .250-.265, tops, so I'm not sure if he's made to start, but he's an ideal 4th guy to play vs. RHP and to pinch run with late in games.
