I'm going to keep looking around for a catcher. For some reason I don't really like Vazquez. Isn't he already 25-years old? That's the thing I liked about Swihart. I was thinking (don't remember for sure) that he was about 21. I'd consider trading Castro for him, but you guys said the Red Sox don't need infielders. So maybe a three-team deal would work.
He's only 23. The only guy I would consider is Mike Olt, and that's only if A. he's doing good, and B. he can transition to OF smoothly. Actually, how's Arietta doing?

Vasquez (23) is only a year older than Swihart (22)

3 team trade with the Boston getting CarGo?

      Cubs Get: Swihart
      Boston Get: CarGo
Rockies Get: Owens, Cecchini, Soler, Ball/Barnes

The Sox could probably put together offer for Cargo on their own, but by bringing the Cubs in, they can add a top 50 outfield prospect to the deal.

Would it take Colorado getting more back? I don't think that's spreadsheet value for CarGo.

Edit: those guys are all top 100 prospects, so I actually don't think that's a bad deal.

        mid A, low A, high B, low B is CarGo's spreadsheet value.

Man do I hate seeing Owens in a trade. Maybe Ranaudo, Cecchini, Soler, Barnes, Margot?

It also depends on how Colorado is doing. If they are good, they aren't trading CarGo.

Hey guys, just finished my first season in my Yankees franchise. I'm doing 30 team control, so in the offseason I traded Shark and Hammel to the A's like in real life. What I am wondering is what it would take for me as the Yankees to grab Castro from the Cubs. I'm not the most familiar with the minors, so I am wondering what a fair deal would be for Castro.

Gary Sanchez would be required. How's he doing?

For whatever reason, I'm stuck on Swihart. His numbers are better than Vazquev in everything (except his overall ranking) and he's two years younger in my franchise. Swihart is 21 and Vazquez is 23.

Here's Olt's line, not a great average but he's been fair for me...

.228, 8 2B, 2 3B, 10 HR, and 31 RBI. His fielding rating is a 65 with a 59 in reaction. His secondary position is first base but I'd be he could transition into a corner outfield position.

I'm just done with Castillo. I can't stand him (on this game, or in real life for that matter). I'll keep him around for another year or two but I'd like to groom a new catcher to replace him. Again, if I was able to draft a catcher like the Cubs did this year in Kyle Schwarber then I'd be set, but I had to go with a starting pitcher with the fifth overall pick (not sure why I didn't have the fourth pick).

The Red Sox are currently 44-43 and 8.5 games out in the American League East. They're 4.0 games out of the Wild Card so a playoff birth is not something that's out of question by any means.

If they're outfield consists of Jonny Gomes in left (77 OVR), Grady Sizemore in center (71 OVR), and Shane Victorino in right (85 OVR).

It seems to me that they could definitely use a player like Emilio Bonifacio, who has been one of the better players in my franchise this year. He's hitting .267 and leads the Majors with 38 stolen bases.

Jake Arrieta is 5-4 with a 3.48 ERA. But I'm not interested in trading him unless it was a situation where I could get a real steal somewhere.

I'd feel safer moving Castro to the outfield over Olt to be honest. Man, this is a tough spot for both as the two teams don't really match in terms of this trade. Is Soler a high B?

He batted around .290 in Double A last year with I believe 20 some homers.

Yeah, Soler is a high B. So is Almora, but he's farther off.

How well did Castro play the prior season?

Sanchez + Severino or Clarkin would be a good starting point.

What are the Red Sox looking for? To me it seems like they need outfield help, that's why I figured Bonifacio would be a good bargaining chip.

What about a three-team deal? I've been dead-set on getting Swihart for some reason. I guess I could settle on Sanchez, I don't know.

We talked on a CarGo deal last page, but I think Colorado is too close to go all in sell (judging on your dynasty page). I say wait until next year to get him, or get Sanchez. Or you could sell Soler straight up if he is a mid-high B.

Dodgers Get: Cecchini (or Barnes + Workman/Webster) + Alcantara

Alcantara has pushed himself up into the high 30's in prospect lists (higher than Soler), and could play 2B for LA in 2015. I threw in Jackson/Dunston Jr. because I don't think Sox fans like it since it was essentially a Swihart/Alcantara swap.

Also, if you don't think the Dodgers need a 3B prospect, two of those pitchers would work.

I guess this one depends on how good Puig, Ethier, Crawford and Kemp are all playing.

No chance of trading Alcantara. Especially not along with Jackson and Dunston (not that they're setting the world on fire). But all three of those and only Swihart in return. No possible way.
