Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hey guys, here's the situation. I'm Milwaukee, 4 days prior to the deadline. I lead the central by 9.5 games. Boston (last in al east) made a bold offer to me that I'm split on. What are your thoughts?

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Colon's is better suited in the AL if you ask me. His body type is not meant for baserunning and batting
You'd have no problem getting a somewhat nice return from either team as there could be a little bidding war over Colon. He has a year left on his contract like you mentioned which is valvular for teams. Just hoping he won't retire due to poor statistics after 2014 in your game.
Don't know what position you want on that prospect coming back?
The Padres could probably offer up Jesse Hahn or Burch Smith.
The Twins could give up SS prospect Aderlin Mejia.
The Royals...I found it hard to come up with something here. Get CF Jarrod Dyson back? Not really a prospect but he would flourish with regular playing time and would definitely contend with Gordon and Hamilton for the SB league leader. Future leadoff man for you
Could I do Colon for Darin Mastroianni straight up?Comment

It seems decent based off of the spreadsheet but it's unrealistic because to me it seems close to impossible to get Boegarts unless they are really trying to get Stanton

No way the Sox give up Bogaerts for Braun.
then what do you think a good enough sample size thru the month of July is?
EDIT: In case if confusion, I'm talking about for this year's production.Last edited by CameRoN0407; 07-10-2014, 10:20 AM.Red Sox: 2018 World Series Champions!!!

Well for this year that's fine but for his career I'm still not sure he'll be a high A. Too early to tell, possibly some things that could hold him back.

No, I would never think 3 months will predict the next 15 years for a player. No wonder I was getting so much heat.Red Sox: 2018 World Series Champions!!!

320 PAs is enough to look at somethings. He shouldn't get so much grief.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I don't know about that. Having been drafted in the 1st round the previous year doesn't prevent it from being realistic. Billy McKinney was drafted by OAK in the 1st Rd last year and Addison Russell was taken 11th overall the year before. Trevor Bauer was the 3rd pick by Arizona in 2011 and was traded last year already. If you go back further in time, you can find more examples.
Now, these are generally the exceptions to the rule, but nonetheless my point is that trading a guy in 2014 that was taken in 2013 is not necessarily a realism-breaker.
Fair enough, although part of my point was that Ball shouldn't be an A.
But it might make more sense to you to sub in a different Red Sox SP prospect.Come hang with me on YouTube! I stream/make videos on a variety of games from sports, to action, to adventure!

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Absolutely. You could even get Mastroianni and a bullpen arm like Ryan Pressly (not Perkins, Fien or Burton)Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.
