Certainly more than 300 ABs before we can even begin to have an educated discussion on what he will or won't be.#HellaBandz

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
In my Franchise year 2 the Phillies are out of it and sent me a trade proposal. I'm the Jays.
I get: Cole Hamels
Phillies get: my 1st round pick last year (starting pitcher, 18 year old 59 ovr A potential
my 2nd round pick (19 year old SS with 69 ovr A potential)
and Roberto Osuna one of my best pitching prospects.
what are your takes on this deal, part of me says yes but I hate trading away drafted studs even though I'm 1 game out in late June and my bats definitely give me a shot at making noise in the post season.Comment

Hey guys, here's the situation. I'm Milwaukee, 4 days prior to the deadline. I lead the central by 9.5 games. Boston (last in al east) made a bold offer to me that I'm split on. What are your thoughts?
Milwaukee gets:
Xander Bogaerts 82 OVR
Jackie Bradley Jr 82 OVR
Allen Webster 81 OVR
Boston gets:
Ryan Braun

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
What does the Phillies are out of it actually mean? How deep into the season and what is their record/deficit? Out of it to you and me doesn't mean the same to Amaro, who sees 60 GB in mid-September as maybe not being able to make the playoffs.[/quote]
We are in mid June Phillies are bottom of their division 12 games out of even a wild card spot. Amaro's bad at math in real life but in the game he seems to be able to do the math lol.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Again I adding in his production this season with his production from his years in the minors, which adds up to well over 300 AB.
Well in Ackley's defense, he's not a natural OFer.
Well what type of outfielder are you looking for? Middle-of-the-order, Top of the order, big name guy, etc.Red Sox: 2018 World Series Champions!!!

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I need some help/advice on moving a couple players.
I'm currently two games away from the All-Star break after stringing some wins together lately I'm two games away from getting back to .500, which is quite an accomplishment for me as the Cubs.
As a team I'm hitting just .227 which is the lowest in the Majors. My worst hitter is, without question Darwin Barney. He's hitting just .162 in 130 at-bats. Ryan Sweeney is almost equally bad as he's hitting just .181 in 149 at-bats. My other poor performers include Welington Castillo's not-so-stellar .205 and Starlin Castro, who for some reason I cannot get hits with, batting an abysmal .210.
I'm not interested in moving Castro and to be honest I'm not really interested in moving Castillo either. However, I am desperately wanting to bring up a couple players from my Triple-A team and I need to part ways with Barney and Sweeney. I could option Barney but I'm just done with him.
I figure he has the most value and appeal to another team, despite his terrible average. Don't get me wrong here, I'm not looking to steal some great prospect from a team, but I am looking to get maybe a pitching prospect or two for these players.
Another player I'd like to move is Jose Veras. He's closed for me most of the year and has done a decent job. His ERA is a little inflated at 4.04 but his K/9 is 8.58. I figure a team that is in playoff contention and needs a closer might take a chance on him.
Again, I'm looking for some pitching in return.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Looks like your sliders could use tweaking.
No one is giving anything up, not even a C prospect, when Barney is hitting .160 and Sweeney is hitting .180. Release them..send them to the minors, but you're not realistically going to find any takers.
Veras could get you a high C from the right team.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I am going a M's Franchise as well and added guy's like J. Willingham and T. Plouffe to my team dealing away Elias and A. Fernandez along with T. Wilhelmsen.
Also added E Bonifacio from the Cubs in another deal along with their LHP RP J. Russell dealing away Beavan and L. Gohara..
Only reason to trade Walker is if you were going to try and target someone like Stanton.
I am curious, how is Saunders and Romero doing in your Franchise because neither hit well enough to be a everyday LF for me and Jones and Almonte flamed out in CF which is why I went after Boni.
Corey Hart on the other hand has locked down RF and was a All-Star for me leading the team in HR's.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Blue Jays are currently dominating the AL East with baseballs best record (63-39).
They could however use a upgrade at 2B and a bench OF.
I went ahead and made the Reimold signing but was thinking about a deal with the Cubs for D. Barney and either R. Sweeney or N. Schierholtz.
Stats for all 3 players are back about 3 pages when I posted possible moves for these players to the Redsox, but for those to lazy to look Barney is hitting mid .260's, same with Sweeny and Schierholtz but Schierholtz does have 10 HR's.
Obviously I am thinking C type prospects, but just curious with all the Blue jay fans who might be good players to deal away.Comment

Same question as CameRon had. What type of OF are you looking for..

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Heys guys. Been a while since I have asked for advice on this thread, but now it is trade season in my Yankee franchise, and I have a couple players I am looking to deal.
Currently the Bombers are sitting dead last in the East, and 16 under .500, so naturally I am looking to sell. I would like to trade:
David Robertson- 2.50 ERA in 15 saves with a 11.0 K/9 and a .89 DIPS
Alfonso Soriano- .281/ .325/ .506 with 15 HRs and 46 RBI
Hiroki Kuroda- 6-7, 4.00 ERA in 114.2 IP, and a 1.34 WHIP
Contenders: BAL, BOS, TOR, KC, DET, LAA, TEX, OAK, WAS, ATL, NYM, CIN, MIL, STL, COL, SF, LAD
As you can see, there are plenty of contenders.
NOTES:
I am not afraid of trading within division.
I understand Kuroda and Soriano won't bring too much value, but I am mainly looking to deal Robertson for a nice piece.
Thanks in advance
EDIT: Do you think it would reasonable to snag Rougned Odor for David Robertson? Soria has been garbage for Texas and with Odor blocked, I thought it makes sense. Spreadsheet says Mid B + High C for him.Comment

As far as the trade, I think I have to agree with you. Other than maybe a team that would take Barney as a defensive specialist late in games. I'll look at the teams in contention and see if they're in need of a closer and I'll see what I can come up with.Comment
