Anibal could probably bring back more than that and Dirks isn't really a replacement.

Rangers, Jays and Orioles are the main teams looking for a starter. O's would give up Gausman, Jays would give up Sanchez, and Rangers would give up whoever isn't named Jurickson. OP can take his pick from those guys and some supporting pieces.

So rumor has it that Rollins will wave his no trade clause after he breaks the Phillies hit record, which should be any day now. In trying to keep things as realistic as possible I am planning on dealing him to Detroit.

My question is this: Would the BoSox consider dealing Mookie in a Cliff Lee + M. Byrd swap? He be an ideal replacement at short until Utley retires/Crawford matures, at which time I could slide him over to second.

            Thoughts?

Using your info, I'm thinking of these trades. To be honest, I don't have much trade experience, so help me out here.

              Trade 1:
              Anibal Sanchez, Luke Putkonen
              for
              Kevin Gausman, Hunter Harvey

              Trade 2:
              Anibal Sanchez, Andy Dirks
              for
              Aaron Sanchez, D.J. Davis

              Trade 3:
              Anibal Sanchez, Don Kelly
              for
              Rougned Odor, Lewis Brinson

Yes I believe so. Betts and coming nowhere near the Sox infield anytime soon with Pedroia locked up long term and Bogaerts, Middlebrooks, Cecchini and Marrero in the fold

I'm running a franchise with KC and I really want to trade Billy Butler(Don't like the guy) I am more focused on a deal being fair then realistic. It is the beginning of the year and I was wonder some destinations that you guys would think would make sense.

Also I saw Jason Heyward mentioned earlier in this thread and would love to get him to KC. Just not sure it would be possible without destroying my team.

                    Thanks in advance guys

The easiest way to get Heyward is hope that him and the Braves don't reach a deal after 2015 and you pick him up in FA, but that's not likely to happen. I don't know much about the Royals roster, but for Heyward it's going to take a lot. It would take a couple of OFs, as the Braves really have no one to replace him. I'm thinking somewhere around the lines of Hosmer (moved to RF), Cain, and Starling? I don't know, I'm not too great at making up trades so I would definitely hear out some other ideas first, but be prepared to look somewhere else for an OF.

You'd have to blow up your Royals to acquire Heyward. Hosmer being moved to RF as a base, then add Kyle Zimmer, Aaron Crow plus maybe Danny Duffy and Mike Moustakas/Bubba Starling. Just thinking out loud here.

If you were to move Hosmer in a deal for Heyward plus trading away Butler in a separate deal, who'd play 1B?

Butler is bound for an AL team if you were to trade him. I like him in Baltimore. Get Eduardo Rodriguez and Chance Sisco in return?

Thanks for weighing in Totte. There has been talk about moving him to center but I'm thinking that the Sox would still do this.

On #1, would replacing Harvey for Stephen Tarpley be alright?
On #2, would adding Roberto Osuna finish the deal, or is it too much?
On #3, I added Nick Williams. Is that enough?

Just trying to find a way to make things work...

By the way, here are the teams in contention:

                            Red Sox
                            Rays
                            Athletics

It would be hard to get rid of Heyward so early in his career, but an offer like this might be one to set me over the top. I really believe that the Braves need a more balanced lineup, and adding Hosmer and Moustakas would be beautiful. Simmons, Hosmer, Upton, Freddy, Gattis, Moustakas would be one hell of a lineup.

Yea I'm pretty much accepted that I would have to give up more then I want for Heyward.
Looks like I will just focus on moving Butler. Also curious as to what you guys think the Royals biggest weakness is?
