Again, too much for Danks. No chance he's worth Nelson.

Pelfrey probably not worth that much.

Rockies get: SP Mike Leake (2.11 ERA)
Reds get: 3B Ryan McMahon, SS Rosell Herrera

Meh, slightly undervaluing Leake here.

D-Backs get: SS JJ Hardy, CF Michael Burgess
Orioles get: SP Jose Martinez, LF Stryker Trahan

Seems pretty fair assuming the O's are out of it.

Pirates get: Mike Napoli
Red Sox get: SP Nick Kingham, RF Josh Bell

Doubt A) the Sox trade Napoli and B) the Pirates would give up Kingham for him.

Rangers get: SP Edwin Jackson (3.23 ERA), SP Carlos Pimentel, LF Junior Lake
Cubs Get: RF Chris Grayson, SP Nick Martinez, CF Lewis Brinson

This one's ok if Jon Daniels didn't already learn his lesson.

Jays get: SP Cliff Lee
Phillies get: SP Roberto Osuna, 1b Juan Francisco, SS Dawel Lugo

Not enough by a good bit for Lee.

This next one was hard for me to balance. STL isnt really out of the race but Taveras and Grichuk are already putting up very good numbers in the majors and Craig is hitting .298, so theres just no more need for Holiday. In KC, Moose is struggling again barely hitting .200 and I think Gordon will go to play 3b with the acquisition of Holliday.

Royals get: Matt Holliday, 3b Daniel Descalso, 1b Johnathon Rodriguez
Cardinals get: 2b Christian Colon, SP Sean Manaea, SP Miguel Almonte, RP Louis Coleman, RP Angel Baez

Not sure Holliday is worth all that at this stage.

P.S. The last deal I made was to mirror the Samardzija deal cuz I play on the Cubs and hes having a great year in my chise as well. I remember a couple months ago there was a guy in this thread saying Samardzija could NEVER command a top 50 spec and probably not even a top 100. Hes probably screaming wherever he is now that they got a top 15 for him lol.

And I was the guy saying Shark was worth an A. Just to be clear.

PPS- You can assume that the players being "sold" are on a team out of contention and performing at or above their own expectations. You can also assume that there is some positional need for them on the Buying team based off either poor performance or injury.

what about Boston? intriguing article, as I know the Red Sox have been asking on CarGo for a long time. I more or less am interested on CarGo than Tulo because I'm set on infield. Just say Colorado is out of it by the deadline, or else I won't do it.

Anyways, I’d like to make everything fair. So how about if I remove a SP from the Alexei deal, change Nelson to a lower quality SP for the Danks deal, add in a high c/low b in with Pelfrey, and maybe remove one of the SPs from the Holliday deal?

Also I know it’s kind of unrealistic to trade Napoli, but they are more than 10 games out of the WC and I have no idea why they’re doing so bad. Napoli is literally the only person worth someone else’s money and specs from BOS based on performance. The pirates don’t have Davis b/c I used OD rosters and they need help at 1b. Of course I could just make BOS hold onto Napoli and throw money at Free Agents at the end of the year like they do.

Not impossible to consider. Boston has the specs needed.

Anyone think Montero from Arizona could be dealt with them rebuilding in my franchise? Just want to see if realistic, can provide stats and record etc...If it is.

I would love Tulo going to New York but the Yankees don't even come close to having enough for Colorado

Ok so lets say with the As trade Kazmir loses a spot in the rotation later on what would it take for the Mets to get him . Ive always liked kazmir and Jon niese the only lefty i have in the rotation is killing me with his 4.40 era and i have no leftys even close to getting called up to the mlb. Im at the trade deadline.

Thanks to the poster with the help with the injury prone Carlos Quentin for the struggling Ackley swap. Any other thoughts on this?

I really want to move Quentin to an AL team so he can DH (in the 2015 offseason). Any realistic destinations for someone like him? He will make 8 million in 2015, but can be bought out the following year if he doesn't produce.

Not very picky at all on the return: AAAA player, prospect, someone who could use a change of scenery, or an overpaid IF/P with a year left on a real life contract are welcome.

Also, I have noticed a lot of people using the Cubs. I am curious what you guys would want for Olt if I am the Padres? His stats are very similar to his real life statistics. Thanks!

I know ideally they would like to ship Tulo out of the NL west, but with a solid package that helps with the rebuild do you think the would consider it. The Rockies are a ways away from being a contender in the division (3-5 years best case) and having no farm system to build from, even if its a slight overpay I think it may tempt them to pull in solid prospects into the team and wait for the Dodgers to be past the window.

Starting a Royals franchise. I'm planning some possible moves to make at the deadline ahead of time. Does anyone think the Royals have enough to make a move for CarGo?

Not sure about CarGo, but I think that KC has enough to contend seriously within the division as-is. I love how much team speed and defense they have.

If anything, I think they need to trade for pitching to compete in year one.

Huh??? Your post simply asked if Montero could be dealt and you provided no specifics on how anyone was doing or any stats. Not sure what more you could've wanted. It could be realistic in the right scenario although I have no idea if it would work (no details given) in your chise.

No chance. Other teams could and would beat the Dodgers in bidding for CarGo/Tulo. It's just not realistic to deal a star within the division so you can face him 18-20 times per season. If you don't care about realism though, go for it.
