Figure out spreasheet values for those guys then we can piece some trades together.
Okay, this is what I came up with

    TB gets: EY Jr.
NYM gets: SS Jake Hager, RP Lenny Linsky

    STL gets: Willingham
    MIN gets: SP Tyrell Jenkins

    SEA gets: Viciedo
CWS gets: OF Stefen Romero, SP Jochi Ogando

I might do the TB/NYM and SEA/CWS but nix the STL/MIN trade. I could just start Bourjous in LF instead.

Also, the Rays need a CF/OF, Desmond Jennings is hitting .218 in 93 G.

Also, Mariners (MY team) need a Corner OF, no one is performing, I've put Ackley, Morrison, Saunders, Bloomquist, and Endy Chavez there and no one is staying out. If I had to pick one it would be Chavez. James jones has CF locked down though.

      So:
      Cardinals need a LF
      Rays need an OF
      M's need a LF/RF (preferably RH)

Teams that are out of it:
      Mets
      Pirates
      Giants
      Twins
      Rangers
      Indians
      White Sox

Can anyone think if trade targets or even think up their OWN potential trades? Thanks in advance.
The Cardinals should promote Mike O'Neill, and the Rays should promote/start Kiermaier.

I'm interested in this as well, as I have a SEA franchise in early July with similar probs.

Holiday is hitting around .200 for STL and is actually no longer playing regularly, while SEA needs a right-handed OF bat in the worst way, so it seems like a natural chance for SEA to want to take, where Holiday can play LF and also DH from time to time and STL can get some spect(s) in return.

I'm just not sure whom to offer for Holiday, given that his value has been compromised by his terrible play and demotion to the bench.

This is actually a good idea. I'm not sure what he's worth on the spreadsheet but given his struggles I'd say Mid-C? I'm not sure. I'm not very good at this stuff, lol. But this is a much better idea. Plus it frees up room in that OF in STL

Spreadsheet has him at 3 B's. A Mid-C seems really low, even if he is struggling.

Oh jeez, my mistake, didn't know he was valued that high. How about just one low B or Mid B? In my franchise he's been an everyday player, while hitting >.200.

                I'd say 2 mid/low B's.

Also, for my franchise, is there any team who would take on Bartolo Colon no matter how bad he's doing? He's got an ERA around 4.50-5.00, and I wouldn't be looking for anything in return. Just don't want to have to pay his salary to release him.

Maybe a team with injuries who needs a guy to come in and eat innings for them. Look at teams with depleted rotations

A contender would buy low on him given his proven track record. And like you said, if you're just looking for 50 cents on the dollar back, I see ok problem striking a deal

Neither do I, but he said St. Louis needed an OF, so I assumed that the rest of the options were playing poorly or injuries or something else. Idk, if that was the case Willingham would only be there for the second half of the season.

If Piscotty, Taveras or Grichuk are playing decently they could replace Holliday.

The Padres are surprisingly in first in the NL West, but their fifth starter Tyson Ross has a 5.81 ERA and a 1.64 WHIP. Could I send Colon to SD for a prospect?

EDIT: The Royals and Twins are both in it too, and the back end of their rotations are struggling. Where do you guys think is the best fit and what could I get for Colon?

Bourjous is also riding the pine for STL in my franchise. Jay is starting and hitting over .300, which makes both Bourjos and Holiday second-stringers. They have called up Grichuk, which further depresses the value of both Holiday and Bourjos.

With all that in consideration, I don't see why a Mid-B and a high C wouldn't get it done for Holiday. With his age, contract, and dirt poor performance, they'd be lucky to get back any value for him. He's literally rotting over there.

Colon's is better suited in the AL if you ask me. His body type is not meant for baserunning and batting

You'd have no problem getting a somewhat nice return from either team as there could be a little bidding war over Colon. He has a year left on his contract like you mentioned which is valvular for teams. Just hoping he won't retire due to poor statistics after 2014 in your game.

Don't know what position you want on that prospect coming back?

The Padres could probably offer up Jesse Hahn or Burch Smith.

The Twins could give up SS prospect Aderlin Mejia.

The Royals...I found it hard to come up with something here. Get CF Jarrod Dyson back? Not really a prospect but he would flourish with regular playing time and would definitely contend with Gordon and Hamilton for the SB league leader. Future leadoff man for you

Great ideas, thanks. I honestly didn't have a position in mind for the prospect coming back, I just dont have room for Colon and wanted to get out from under his salary.

I'm at the Allstar break in 1st place with the Stros (I don't know how...veteran level...only add was Profar and bullpen help. Might be time for Allstar level).
Considering Stanton since the Marlins could be sellers in real life even if the GM says no.

Would it take some combo of Correa, Profar, Altuve, Cosart and Springer?

I'd most like to dump Altuve (righty bat) but would the Astros package him without the city revolting?
