If the Pirates are out of it you might be able to get N. Walker. Yankees have enough farmlands to get you help, just not enough to trade for a star. G. Beckham, T. Plouffe, etc. is more your trade market.

Every day, no. But a couple times a week and subbed for defense late when needed? Maybe.

I was thinking of ways for him to survive in the NL as a trade target. Could come in to pinch hit and then stay in the game at 2B (or LF)

I could maybe see the odd team (CIN, ARZ, PHI) taking the chance during a playoff chase (every franchise is different) but unless he's found his jar of 'the cream', the Yankees are probably going to have to eat this contract.

Murphy works for either. Austin or Williams also work as well.

If you look back a couple days in the thread, there was a whole thing on Plouffe.

Hmm...Pirates are likely out of it in my franchise (last place as usual), I'm going to have to look Walker up, especially if he's young.

That's what the Marlins need, young infielders - only one I'm willing to kinda tolerate is Solano at 2B.

                    Pirates aren't trading Walker imo.

The Diamondbacks like Garrett Jones. Do you think this would be fair:

                      ARI deals
                      SS Didi Gregorius (B-/C+)

                      MIA deals
                      1B/LF Garrett Jones (C+/C)
SP Jose Urena (I think he's worth at least a B-, but he's not listed on the spreadsheet...)

(I don't use 30-team control, and, no, I'm not scrapping my Marlins franchise to start over and turn it on I like dealing with the CPU would/wouldn't do and building trades around that with using the spreadsheet as well)

The CPU Pirates share your sentiment. Literally, they liked no one but Stanton or Fernandez for him.

He's got 83 CON vs. RHP, too, which is quite good, in the latest SCEA roster.

Roaming the thread looking for ideas LOL

Saw this and it makes me ask...which Gordon is the value on the spreadsheet based on?

In my roster (OSFMv2 with pitch edits) Gordon is far below 83 contact (64/51 CON). Is that what the low B is based on?

Because I can totally get with an 86 reaction at SS with top 3 speed on a 25-year-old.

Too bad Billy Hamilton would cost too much because I'd put him at SS...but, not I'm almost scared to look at his spreadsheet value

I know he's a local kid but arb. elig. only two more times with a $6+mm price tag and cant seem to play a full season. Alvarez as well at least $5+mm. Do you think they move Alvarez this off season or keep them both?

I have Nick Franklin rotting away in AAA, and have been looking to move him. I need a 1B, LF, and some MLB ready pitching depth. I have had Jesus Montero playing 1B, and he has done all right posting a .272 avg, 4 HR and 9 RBI in the first month, but he is just god awful defensively, he has committed 8 errors in 25 games. Ackley is hitting .290, but I feel he has run his coarse in Seattle, need an upgrade, especially since his BABIP is something like .350, that average is probably coming way down.

My catching situation is a bad at best with Castillo and Contreras batting a combined .215 with 3 hr and 20 rbi. Im looking to add a catcher and Martin Maldonado who is now on the Royals has caught my eye, he's hitting .287 with 7 hr and 20 rbi in 150 at bats and backing up Perez. They are 2.5 back in the division and 1.5 back in the wildcard. Im thinking of Christian Villanueva for Maldonado as KC is thin at 3b with only 3 on the roster and the best of the bunch Dozier who was in AAA is out 2-3 months. Any ideas on what would need to be done in a Maldonado for Villanueva swap? I feel like I may need to add a small piece coming back to Chicago.
Nah, Villanueva is not enough of a prospect to get 2 MLB players by himself. Both Maldonado and Collins are perfectly fine to target, but you need to toss in another high C or so if you add Collins in.

100% absolutely, positively no chance. He can barely play LF at this point, He is strictly LF/DH from here on out. Most of his athleticism from his 40/40 days is completely gone and he moves like an old man. Coming from a Cubs fan who has watched him play a ton in recent years, he can be serviceable in left, but I don't see 2B in the cards at all.

I think pinch hitter/LF/4th OF is enough?

Josh Willingham and Marlon Byrd come to mind as short term options. Garrett Jones on the Marlins might make sense. Justin Ruggiano? Carlos Quentin? Adam Dunn? Dayan Viciedo? Junior Lake? Matt Holliday? Jayson Werth? Dominic Brown? Marcell Ozuna? Andre Ethier? Angel Pagan? Andy Dirks? Alfonso Soriano? Grady Sizemore? Lucas Duda? Would depend on how these teams are doing and what type of upgrade you are looking for.

MLB-ready pitching: Tyson Ross, Dillon Gee, Kyle Kendrick, Mike Leake, Wade Miley, Brandon Cumpton, Shane Green, Chase Whitley, Jake Odorizzi, Cory Kluber, Josh Tomlin, Trevor May, Drew Smyly, Rick Porcello, Danny Duffy...
