Clippard's a really valuable reliever, no doubt. But he's just that, a reliever. Cron's a young power bat stuck behind Pujols and Hamilton. I like Moore as a depth piece for you and he'll provide stability for the AAA lineup to begin with

I hate the fact that RP are so invaluable when they are such a big part of the game, especially one who has been as dominate as Clippard in the past 3 years posting a sub-3 ERA with a 3/1K ratio. But no GM would disagree with receiving a power-hitting prospect for a relief pitcher.

I'm about 2 weeks away from the off-season in my Yankees franchise and im looking to trade away CC, as much as I like him I just won't have space for him in my rotation plus I don't pitch good with him anyway. What would be some teams interested in him if any?

I could see CC in Atlanta or Chicago? Atlanta is losing 3 of their starting pitching rotation to FA in 2015 and could use a nice veteran to aid Teheran and Wood's progression. Chicago is more of a dark-horse because of his age and his very unlikable contract, which would be the main reason no one would like to have him... 23-25M/yr until 2017.

Billy Beane might take him, too.

But seriously, what's his salary? That may have a big impact on value.

Can't see OAK and Beane paying that much for a pitcher who has been hurt and hasnt posted a sub 3.5 ERA nor a 100+ ERA+ season since 2012.

Do you knot Billy Beane? He would NEVER take on the contract for a guy who is approaching mid -30s.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

About 2 weeks from the deadline in my 13 Mets franchise & looking for to trade Ike Davis. He's currently hitting .289 with 21 HR and 53 RBI. .528 SLG% .367 OBP & .895 OPS. Last year he hit about .260 with 39 HR and 100 RBI. I only want to trade him because I have another 1B coming up behind him that I know I can match or exceed his production & he's entering arbitration years and is gonna ask for 6M.

Preferably I want to keep him in the AL so he can be either be a 1B or a DH.

Teams that are in contention and looking to make a playoff push in the AL & could possibly use a bat: Blue Jays, Tigers, Angles, A's, Rangers, Indians.

Any idea in terms of value or players from those teams that I could get back for him?

                  Thanks for any help.

Maybe the Tigers will be a good fit for him as he could take the role as an everyday 1B that the Tigers need. With the Tigers getting him, they could put Miggy in the DH spot and let Victor Martinez walk after the 2014 season.

What are you trying to obtain in return for him? Pitching prospects?

So a Mid B for him is good right? Just so I can look and see if I can find anything I like.. I'm also looking to offload McCann as I can't hit a beach ball to save my life with him. Any ideas there?

The Padres are hell-bent on selling Eric Stults, which I don't really understand from their point of view: (39-31) 1st in the NL West, no real options waiting underneath to bring up (unless - I guess - if they wanted to rush Matt Wisler up to get knocked around). They have SP Cory Luebke on the DL for another 5-6 months, they're not paying him much, he's a solid 5th starter (5-4, 3.38, 47 Ks), and why mess with something that's working?

Only thing I can see is that both of their AAA catchers are on the DL.

I could've had him for a C-level 1B and a B-level Reliever, but I turned it down. Their new trade is to the Yankees (37-31, 0.5 GB), wanting two B-level prospects (SP Bryan Mitchell & C Gary Sanchez). The Yankees are looking pretty okay, pitching-wise: they've got their full rotation unhurt, plus Ivan Nova waiting if anyone goes down.

I almost killed this one on sight, but thought I'd get confirmation that it's a dumb idea for SD, but also a little for NY. In fact, I think I just reasoned my way into killing this now.

Yeah Martinez is a 63ovr now as he's currently in the middle of the show's crazy decline stage. Im pretty sure he's going to retire as well. Im about to crush my farm system by doing a big trade (Giving up 3 A's and 2 High B's) so I'm really open to accepting anything back but pitching is a nice start. I would love to get Rondon back because I'm trying to build a power bullpen for next year but he's currently their closer so idk how that would work.

To the OP, these contract numbers limit your suitors to very few, if there are any.
