Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Well if you sim a lot like I do then it is, especially having to check the pending transactions page EVERY DAY of the off season, that's why I think it is, but I am getting used to it.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Simple answer: no
I don't see either one of those teams biting on what the Yankees have to offer. I'm sure you could make a fair deal, but you're going to be giving up a lot more than you should. It won't be realistic, because the Yankees lack the system to acquire much of anybody.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Plus I am not sure why the Yankees would need Kemp. They already have Ellsbury and Gardner plus Beltran for the next 3 seasons, which by then either M. Williams , S. Heathcott, A. Judge or T. Austin should be ready to replace him and I am sure within those 3 years they would probably sign some F.A to a huge deal.
I can see the SS need with Jeter retiring so Andrus would make sense and Texas could use some young OF help because so far L. Martin has shown he is a everyday OF. But not sure what other prospects the Yankees could offer with M. Williams to get it done.
The Yanks made 3 pretty solid picks in 2013 with Jagielo, Clarkin, and Judge as all 3 are in their Top-10 but I can't see them dealing them already in fact I don't believe they legally can.
Maybe someone else can come up with a good offer for you, but to me it would seem a Yankee Franchise would be one where you don't trade for top talent but instead just offer big F.A. deals and slowly rebuild the farm through the draft.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
The off-season is where I feel it takes the most time, especially the resigning of players and Free Agency but as far as the in-season only thing that really took alot of time for me was the trade deadline because it seemed like 20-25 teams were in the hunt for at least a Wild Card and I wanted to be fair and try and help every team make a improvement or 2 for the playoff push, well dealing away vet's off the teams already out of it (Cubs,Pirates,D-Backs,Marlins, Twins, White Sox, Astros) in my Franchise.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
If he's past the 2014 draft date in his franchise, then he should be good to trade guys who were drafted in 2013. The rule is that they have to be under contract for a year. If he's hell bent on realism, he can look up what day each player signed and go from there. That's a little too extreme for me, lol.
Either deal would have to include Clarkin + Severino + other pieces.
I'm not sold on Sanchez or Williams at this point, and I don't think the Yankees would give up their two best pitching prospects in the same deal. If either one of those deals happen, their system would be as barren as the Angels, or even worse.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
AC think you read my post wrong. I am the Jays and I want the package of Murphy, colon and young from the mets.
Also where could I deal Rasmus and get a more contact CF + middle reliever?

Re: MLB 14 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
late July 2015 in my cubs franchise and im sitting 1.5 ahead of the Reds in the division race. My catching situation is a bad at best with Castillo and Contreras batting a combined .215 with 3 hr and 20 rbi. Im looking to add a catcher and Martin Maldonado who is now on the Royals has caught my eye, he's hitting .287 with 7 hr and 20 rbi in 150 at bats and backing up Perez. They are 2.5 back in the division and 1.5 back in the wildcard. Im thinking of Christian Villanueva for Maldonado as KC is thin at 3b with only 3 on the roster and the best of the bunch Dozier who was in AAA is out 2-3 months. Any ideas on what would need to be done in a Maldonado for Villanueva swap? I feel like I may need to add a small piece coming back to Chicago.Comment

How about a bullpen arm like Tim Collins or Louis Coleman?Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.
